For both sides I try to always follow a certain SOP for vehicles.
For the victors who take or retain the battlefield and then pass some die rolls, perhaps their vehicles could be repaired and could show up in a follow on turn.
Note: If it is a burning hulk then it is a goner.

One big battle or multi battles you say? Wouldn't it be more enjoyable for everyone to fight in multi battles than just one person getting all the glory/blame?

Chappy, we'll scrape your remains out of the carrier and bury you in a rum barrel, tho a mess tin might be sufficient.
