  1. I can not looking on the internal values! I can look on the datas during a game on the interface and i can look on the encyclopedia. And this is totally crap penetration with lower penetration capability as the 85mm from T34/85. But if you say the correct values are in game... ok. Then everythink is fine... But i will test it on the evening...
  2. The Gr.38 Hl entered service in June 1939. Some clues can be gleaned from Hogg in German Artillery of World War Two where he says of the original Gr.38 Hl design that “...few were used since it was soon replaced by the improved model Hl/A.” I can speculate that the late model Gr.38 Hl/C was used very late in the war because it was developed for so few weapons; nearly all German HEAT projectiles are either Gr.38 Hl/A or Gr.38 Hl/B. Gr. 38 (Hl) was cartainly in use in June 1939 Gr. 38 Hl/A was certainly in use in May 1942 Gr. 38 Hl/B was certainly in use in December 1942 Gr. 38 Hl/C was certainly in use in April 1942 Gr.38 Hl and Gr.39 Hl - Granate Hohlladung. This is the original design for German hollow charge projectiles. It had a deep conical cavity, a short ogive, and a flash tube extending from the base of the fuze to the base of the filling. Gr.38 Hl/A and Gr.39 Hl/A - Granate Hohlladung pattern A. This is an improved design. It had a wider flash tube that did not extend beyond the liner apex and a longer ogive to give a greater stand-off distance. Both changes were to prevent interference with the formation of the plasma jet. Gr.38 Hl/B and Gr.39 Hl/B - Granate Hohlladung pattern B. This design is externally the same as the pattern A. It had changes to the explosive filling in an attempt to produce a thicker plasma jet that would be more resistant to the spin of the projectile. Gr.38 Hl/C and Gr.39 Hl/C - Granate Hohlladung pattern C. This design is externally the same as the pattern A and pattern B. It had an additional inverted funnel in front of the explosive in a further attempt to counter the effects of the spin of the projectile on the formation of the plasma jet. @Jippo Dont call me unstudy...   4. rune wrote somewhere that the calculated penetration values fit test data down to the mm, attempts to prove the opposite appear not to be successful, a lot of people complain about LOS being too long, therefore, the firing ranges are more than adequate, and 2x2 km is not large enough?! Rune, do you know abot this ammunition type for 75mm Kw.K. 37 L / 24: Gr.38 Hl / A High Explosive Anti-Tank (penetration data for RHA plate @ 30° 0 m - 1000 m ---> 70mm Gr.38 Hl / B High Explosive Anti-Tank (penetration data for RHA plate @ 30° 0 m - 1000 m ---> 75mm Gr.38 Hl / C High Explosive Anti-Tank (penetration data for RHA plate @ 30° 0 m - 1000 m ---> 100mm PZIV Ausf. A-F was able to destroy T34 up to 1000 meters. But, also deadly sure on 50 meters. Next think is quality of russian poor moulding amor steel...
  6. Sure, in reality tanks did not resupplied during fighting on frontline. But, this game is not a realistic simulation. You dont have realistic penetration values,firing ranges and large enough maps. We also dont have realistic reload times and many other realism features missing in game of TOW. Conclusion: this game is a RTS with a touch of realism. So... why we are not allowed to restock our tanks? Maybe in a restock zone on the upper edge of a map or somthink like this. Or with a "Munitionspanzer I (Sd. Kfz 111)"...

  10. Panzerfaust 60 hits on a T34 in reality shot the hell out the russian tankers. But in the demo only panzerschreck works fine in case of a hit. I think in game the soldiers are drunken and hits the tank in 2 of 10 trys.

  14. @Simmox: Nice work, but can you ansfer me a question? Where do you place your MG-34 tripod? And another question is, how do you managed the atack from the right of seelow. I remember there are comming 2xJS2 2or3 T34/85 and 2 platoons of russians bastards over the hills on the right side of the little village. With 1 Panther? My tanks are out of AP ammunition after 10 minutes. Edit: ok i play at "veteran" difficult, i alway play all games at hardest difficult.

  17. Dear Moon,dear BF people, is there any possibility to make a modifikation for TOW? Can you ask 1C or the makers of TOW to get a possibility for mod making?! Please! I notice there are *.sfs data files in the main directory. (for example sound.sfs) I will make a modifikation for sound and add maybe some stuff like 88 flak and so on. Our modding team have some nice experience in modifikation of war rts games. Du you know Real Warfare Modifikation (RWM)for suddenstrike 1 and 2(greetings to otcho and wishmob), or Storm over Europe RWM for Soldiers Heroes of World War 2? I think TOW have some verry nice potential to make a sound mod or adding some more stuff... Maybe the sfs plugin for windows commander ... EDIT: What up with the ip stock exchange?   20. I have many hopes that "Theatre of War" will be possible to same modifikation. And i think someone will find a solution to modify the game in case of adding better sounds and maybe some stuff like 88 flak or 17pdrs. But first there are enough stuff inside to have a half year fun...

  23. Oh, yes i have switched the sound funktions many times to figure out what are the best settings. But, i am so sorry to say that: The sounds are to similar, to dinky and to quiet when you know what i mean. Sounds in games or in motion-picture are one of the essential thinks to get the player/viewer involved with the product. I will hear that scaring firing sound of a 88 in a battle field over hundreds and hundreds of metres. And this sound is not the same as a 75mm pak40 sound.
