  4. Please do not bashing the game according to that engagement distances seen on the pictures. This pictures are for pointing out the nice graphic. There are a couple of mods in the production to mod the ranges of engagement. Believe me, the physic in game is the best ever seen on a game. Penetration and damage calculation based on armour thickness and angel of ever armour-plate on the tanks. And also great visual damage presentation.

  6. Question about modding and using content from TOW and other games like CM,Soldiers,Panzer Elite etc.. How about using content from TOW (like camouflage textures or sound data´s) in other modifications for Combat Mission or other games? Is that a Problem? Or do i must have your permission or some think like this? And can you give me such a permission? Or in the other way, if i use a texture from a other game in TOW? Must i have a permission from the makers of the other game? I notice that there are plenty of modification for all 3 part of CM with content from other games or other films. What is the best way to become NO Problems? I mean , we speaking about mod´s without any financial motives.
  7. Please dont forget to implement new gamemodes for mp matches. The currently existing mode "deathmatch" is not well placed in a WW2 game. Thank you...
  8. Thank you for this nice little statement. It´s better then nothing. New maps for multiplayer would be very cool and the searching tool for opened multiplayer games is also nice to hear. But, please don´t forget the game modes. This is very important. Nobody need a death match game in a WW2 genre. Team deathmatch between german and allies are ok , or a mode there you must capping a zone, or a assault and defence mode, or other multiplayer missions with a target.   10. What's the score on modding multiplayer maps? Maybe adding some of this nice vehicles from this modding forum. Maybe adding more start stuff, like more tanks and infantry. Or adding more stuff on a multiplayer map after a short period of time. regards

  12. This is a nice statement, it predicates nothing. Some plans here, some decisions there... I have paid 50 USD and i will not accept that this game is without playable multiplayer part. All my mission and campaign´s are played on veteran skill, and now? Nothing left...
  13. Will the multiplayer part overworked or not? I mean not technical errors/bug. I mean: 1.) more maps 2.) more gamemodi /king of the hill/capute the flag/assault and defence/battle zones/ etc. 3.) buy menü before a multiplayer session starts / somthing like in the singelplayer part 4.) skills of tank crews in multiplayer must be totaly raised 5.) a game lobby in game or html based (ip stock exchange)/ maybe gamespy function please dont let the game die in the multiplayer part...

  15. I have written in a other thread this: The MP part of TOW must be tweaked as soon as possible after patching the SP part. There are a 7 mainly problems that need to be fixed very urgend: 1.)The netcode must be improved. 2.)Implement a game lobby or a ip stock exchange at BF website to find mp games. 3.)Possibility to change the stuff, troops and tanks before starting the MP game for every player / map. Same as in singelplayer! 4.)Implement multiplayer modes like capture the flag, frontline, assault, king of the hill or other nice modes. But the most important multiplayer mode is capture the flag also known as battlezones. 5.)More MP maps 6.)Possibility to make / change MP maps with the editor 7.)Self loading feature for all clients if a MP game is hosted
  16. This is definetly your best decision BF. This Map editor is the best way to keep this game alive over years with content from the community. After this addon you must only fix the MP part of the game. Dont forget the online players, please.
  17. StG44 is correct military abbreviation for "Sturmgewehr 44". Colloquial known as MP44 "Maschinenpistole 44" or "Maschinenkarabiner 44" But "sig44" is not a used designation.

  19. I dont see any ways to read and rebuilt a sfs.file game archive without the right decryption plugin/tool.
  20. I have a little question about the "hold position" modus for a tank. If you give a tank the order "hold position", the tank will stay at this point and dont move. This is correct, however a enemy attack this tank(with "hold position" button on)the crew turns the hull toward to the enemy. For Tiger1 deadly, for tank hunter like StuG/Hetzer/JgdPzIV is that ok. I would suggest that a "hold postion" order for a tank with turret stands for "DONT TURN THE HULL ALSO".
  21. @SIO Many thank for you fast an precise answer. That is very nice, now you must only fix that "hold position" button in associating with "dont turn hull". And then we can play the Tiger1 as in reality.
  22. Does the engine also calculate horizontal amor angles, or only vertical amor slopes/angles? For example, a tiger 1 tank have turned the hull 25-35 degree towards to the enemy in "Mahlzeit" position. Is this also be calculeted?
