  1. I play a lot in the Winter, and I play outside in the Summer! I echo what those have already said, it's a niche game. I play for fun when I get the chance.
  2. Great job Bardamu! I thought I posted here before but I must not have..... Congratulations!
  3. After adding my wingman's next skill, Spoil Aim, which cost 28K EXP, the PV of my planes didn't go up, and I'm not fighting any tougher planes. Just wondering if there's a limit?
  4. Ow! That hurts Mike, that really hurts man....... It's not my fault you got caught "Sheeping with the Enemy".

    New Medals?

Do we need a medal for highest accuracy with human to sheep missiles?
  6. Taking a page from Ray's ego I proudly announce the newest member in the 1000 kills club, ME! Lakespeed has become the 6th person to reach 1000 kills and his pilots Nikolay Gulaev and Lidya Litvyak have become the 1st and 2nd Russian pilots to 1000 kills, and the 8th and 9th pilots overall to 1000 kills, respectively. You may all bask in my greatness now. Where was that 1000 kills-only posting thread now?
  7. Well what's odd is I can join Black Mamba with my lower EXP pilots such as USA and Japan, but I cannot join with my high EXP Russian pilots. I think it has something to do with the aircraft value as well, because the Russian plane values are so low (698 for the best plane). It would explain why the highest aircraft I have fought against would be the Me-109K for the Germans and the A6M8 for the Japanese. I have never fought any of the higher value aircraft despite having a high EXP total. Can you shed some light on this Brian? EDIT: I can and have been fighting Jacks, I didn't realize their PV was higher than the A6M8. [ March 31, 2007, 01:29 PM: Message edited by: lakespeed ]
  8. At the risk of getting Stalin all excited don't you mean don't race a dead sheep?
  9. Well, like I said it's not a big deal. I can usually tell when things are usually tongue-in-cheek (especially with you Ray) I just didn't get that vibe. As for records, if I really wanted it I would have stopped when it was 4.00 ensuring I had it. I was 15/60 at the time. But I wanted to play, not have a record. I'll freely admit the comment irked me a bit, because I don't feel like I have to play and compete here with anyone, I just want to play and for the love of God have one of my pilots finally make it to the 1000 club! (and type a huge amount of run-on sentences. Somewhere my old AP English teacher is hearing bells ring in her ears) As for the cheating debate, let's face it we all know ways to "scam" the game. I found one out on accident to ensure getting any end result I want but I don't use it. I realized it when I had to leave a game prematurely and saw that the only thing affected was my fatigue. So I suppose that if I really wanted to spend the effort I could play until I got the end results I wanted and just exit out of those I didn't. Same goes for the XP/Mission deal. I could kill off a wingie and just play until I got the results I wanted. Then again if I wanted to be King of the Hill I'd just have to be the Germans! Let's not go there with the 'Cuse, my friend. We wuz robbed! I did smile though when Stanford and Arkansas were blown out, I have to admit. And I can't believe I find myself rooting for the Hoyas. What the hell is a Hoya anyways? Let's hope we take it to the house in the NIT!
  10. Well, first of all if I offended you Bride, I apoligize. My statement at the Leaderboard not being the number one priority was not intended as any kind of insult to you, but merely reflects my own personal feelings that I really don't care about the leaderboard because I'm not willing to spend a lot of time playing this game. From where I sit I would have to turn playing into a second job just to catch anyone and that would kind of defeat the purpose of me playing for fun. Having said that, I seriously think you are obsessed with needing to be at the top of every stat on the leaderboard. And having several more stats to chase after will seriously be that much more difficult for you to attain. You are the only person that I know that posts "status reports" and "breakdowns" of your leading pilot. Maybe you do this just to rag on everyone, I don't know, maybe I just miss the humor in it. I never used to have this opinion, but there was one thing you said to me a while back that kind of revealed something to me. I remember on a Sunday night I had the kills/mission stat lead for the week, and when I logged on that Monday I noticed you took it over with a pilot you hadn't flown to that point that week. I never brought it up but that day when you were online you told me you had to do it because YOU COULDN'T LET ANYONE TAKE ONE OF THE 18 SPOTS ON THE LEADERBOARD FOR THE WEEK. Now, as I said I don't really care but to me that shows me that you seriously have some kind of issue going on there. Or I'm crazy.
  11. OK, thanks Brian. It must have been just a really bad run of luck and computer/server issues because everything was good last night. Thanks again!
  12. I think the all-time kills should be at least 50 missions. More realistic as to what pilots would have flown during a "tour of duty" and I think the Leaderboard stat "All Time Mission/XP" total is exploited by using a newbie wingman with an experienced leader so that would help eliminate that one. Not that I overly care, I just play for fun. I have neither the time of patience or even willingness I guess to make trying to be the stat leader of something that in my life is not number 1 in the scheme of things (don't hate me for saying that Sixx and Bride ) I do believe in fair play in all cases possible.
  13. I got slaughtered like 6 missions in a row. Then the game froze up and booted me in like 4 of them. Every card I played was countered, and the AI played cards I had none of. I didn't think I was playing that bad but this happened right after I downloaded 2 updates. Just haven't had the chance to get back on since it happened so I was wondering changes or bad luck?
  14. Well, if you want to get technical, there were more 20+ kill aces from New Zealand than there was from Italy. But I do agree, Italy would be the next best choice. Then France. After that the aircraft selection become very limited for other countries. The Finns would have the Buffalo, then the Me-109G and then maybe the Myrsky. Bombers would be Soviet SB-2's and German Do-17's. Czech would be what....Avia B-35 and B-135 or maybe the B-534? Or the Letov S-328 for a bomber? MB-200? Makes it very difficult to match up similar level aircraft. You really don't want late-war Co-Belligerent Italian P-39's intercepting Me-262's do you? [ March 07, 2007, 07:15 PM: Message edited by: lakespeed ]
  15. Oh, I don't think you're doomed to be overtaken by Loki. I think you're doomed to be overtaken by ME! I'm just kidding of course. I just hope you both don't run up the score so much that I'll never catch up!
  16. Better watch out, Loki is coming up on you pretty quick! My top guy has a paltry almost 600. Looks like I have some work to do!
  17. It was much better Friday. Much much better. Still just a touch slow, but negligable. Thanks for the work you put into it Matt!
  18. Ok sounds good. Just frustrating as I've had time to play the last 2 days for once but everthing is so slow it makes it very difficult to play. Nothing's ever easy, huh?
  19. Is it just me or is it taking 15-20 second for your pilots page to pop up to select a pilot, then almost a minute for your mission to come up, then slow play and usually a 45-50 second delay before the mission ends.
