This begs the question... should CM have some sort of way to distinguish a unit that is fragile when attacking but not when defending?
Probably just a temp bonus to morale across the board if the unit starts in prepared defensive position, removed if the unit leaves (or comes under other negating circumstances?)

The oh-so-sad story of the crew of the T-90M named “Gorky,” who all volunteered, received a month of training and were sent to Kupyansk to die:
https://www.nn.ru/text/gorod/2022/10/18/71742242/
Story would seem to indicate two possibly undocumented T-90M losses.

This, in my opinion, is the sole reason we refuse to acknowledge these as budget cruise missiles. A cruise missile can’t have a motorcycle engine!

Interesting, some guys in comments claim it was Grad or something similar but indeed you may be right. You think he dropped them on target or randomly, trying to escape missiles?
Probably going for the tree line. You can see at least two bombs with drag chutes at about 0:09.

There are usually well informed analysts accounts here that claim Ukrainians are close to run out of S-300 and Buks. Given large amount of Iranian drones Russians will most probably try to renew their wave attacks to force Ukrainians to overcome the defences. Further mixed strikes with drones and cruise missiles are also to be expected.
Sticking within AA topics, note how fast Russian artillery reacted here. Only seconds between this Ukrainian Manpad (unsuccessfull) shot and arrivals. That was a load of high-drag bombs from the fighter with long delay fuze.

And looks like one of the ejections might have been too late. All around pretty successful sortie.

Yes, the Lapin family has no luck with Muslims. Lapin senior had a conflict with Kadyrov. Lapin Jr. has a conflict with the Tajiks. Let's see what will be his future fate after an emergency in his unit.
The son is Col. Denis Lapin, commander of the 1st Guards Tank Regiment, but maybe someone else from same family?

There was an open question about the “bear paw in circle” marking seen on several BMP-2Ms and some T-80s. This appears to be used by the “Baikal” volunteer battalion.

May be one of those “commander in” vs “commander of” wording issues, but this says now dead Sr. Lt. Igor Boychuk was commander of the Engineer-Sapper Battalion in the 138th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade:

This is from a post on here earlier, posted the day or day after the event. Chrisl's post of the dash cam footage: https://community.battlefront.com/topic/140931-how-hot-is-ukraine-gonna-get/page/1555/#comment-1955444
I hear a missile when the impact occurs. Nobody said anything on here when I asked if anyone else heard a missile sound on that vid.
As there is question if this was a fake video, if you go frame by frame, at about the 7 sec. mark, you can actually see a explosion cloud in a couple of frames, so I don't think it is a fake. I could be wrong of course.
That was fake. The attack was pre-dawn.

Anybody have a a recents firms map? Those have been the closest thing to ground truth for the whole war, albeit far from infallible.
Way more cloud cover and rain recently, so not particularly useful.

HIMARS vs artillery/MLRS
Looks like possibly M30A1/A2 rounds working. Also the quick retargeting of the pair of vehicles that tried to scoot away while original target was still being engaged is impressive.
