Probably just a temp bonus to morale across the board if the unit starts in prepared defensive position, removed if the unit leaves (or comes under other negating circumstances?)

Story would seem to indicate two possibly undocumented T-90M losses.
There was an open question about the “bear paw in circle” marking seen on several BMP-2Ms and some T-80s. This appears to be used by the “Baikal” volunteer battalion.

May be one of those “commander in” vs “commander of” wording issues, but this says now dead Sr. Lt. Igor Boychuk was commander of the Engineer-Sapper Battalion in the 138th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade:
