  1. I saw your post went and checked it out. Found it in my scenario list loaded it and played just fine. (scratched head) are you running any type of mod? I was running Base just now.
  2. longer burn time is easy and can be done right now. A "hover mode" might be harder to achieve. Now a rapid travel mode is something differnt and works pretty good. I used a higher accelleration, less fuel, and quick recharge. While running forward and hitting the jump the trooper slide arcoss the ground pretty dang quick. is this what you had in mind?

  5. I dont have any where to post my files (I dont think I do anyway), Help please. Thats is all I did too was to use the ion beam (looked to much like a launcher already. My Five man squad was two launchers three rifles. with the above mentioned ammo change. Still cant get a lock on though ;( Side note: I though up a realy annoying Infantry unit but dont know how or if it is possible. Cant you have a unit constantly play a sound file over and over very loudly?

    Brakes

    Ok I'm sorry for this topic but this is really bugging me. THE BRAKES ON THE PALIDAN SUCK. Not just a little bit but seriously. Try to park on hillside with them. I'm not talking about a cliff or mountian, I mean hill side. You cant stop yourself rolling donwhill with the X key and locking them doesnt help. OK i vented all better now. Could somebody else please varify this issue and could we get a fix. Thank you and have a nice day(or else)
  8. Right now it is One trooper with a ATGM launcher five rounds standard, and five that i've uped the speed on for SAM. But no missle lock you have to fly the missle in.
  9. Thanks poesel. I got my SAM trooper working (he shoots missles out of his shoulder lancher and everything). Thanks to your hint about the squad size and gun tags I got it to work. now for some fine tuning. I'll keep you posted. Oh and I send the file.
  10. OK I'll admit when I'm wrong. One is a good number, five is good, 25 is really good. But three crashes when they get out of the drop pod. I thought it was the ATGM that was causing the crash (might still be). Maybe it has something to do with the formation file. Computer dosen't know how to handle blank spot in the setup. Which leds me to the questions, anybody know where, what, how to, or with what do you open the infantry animation and model files?
  11. Sorry poesel I dont have time right now running out the door for work. I give them post them in about 9 hours , What i'm doing differntly is copying a specilist profile renameing putting it to inventory and dropping that way. Anybody want a three team with a speclist armed with a IonCannon that shoots 90mmAP? Add more tonight got to work
  12. Ok I've had some luck with squad size so I'll share it. The trick is to make sure that the squad leader has the same number of squad mates as everybody else. Or that the Squad Leader is the only person with squadmates in his profile. (sorry i would give an example but I'm not on my home computer). I have played from a single troop with a very heavy rifle to in my most insane moments a 30 (yes 30) man squad all with 20mm(much beer was consumed at the time). My goal was to make a version of a Dragon Team with ATGMs. However I have had no luck it keeps crashing. Any helpful ideas? Right now I'm changing one or two things at a time to see what causes the crash. At this point giving the unit TOW.physicalobjectgroup ammo crashes the game. Well thats my two cents.
  13. Now that is something worth thinking about! OK put the long nose Loki on the back burner for a bit while I think up a front turret model.(hitting self on head for not thinking of it already)
  14. to over come the issue of crossing a ridge line. with two axles up front it will expose the belly for a shorter time. And whos to say that most of the wieght is in the back that might be soild DU for front armor.
  15. Here is variant two. Ignor the things over the wheels they're just there to keep the mud off the optics My question above is more about how many damgae location for ammo per weapon can a vehical have. Right now it looks like one (Hermes has two one for the 20mm and one for auto-gun).

  17. You're right a 120mm would be way too much it would encourage people to mix it up with thors. 76 would be better. For fitting with scout roll. I pretty much figured on the front tires being sacrifcal. Thus having eight of them but that is not a good plan. A redesign with six would be better. On flat ground this turret design works BUT when is ground flat? I'll adjust the turret for back slope fighting, which just makes sense. Keeping the ATGM's a scout has got to cause havoc some how.
  18. This is the Loki (Norse God of Choas) because you got to be a little crazy to drive this thing. Ok here are the stats. Eight wheeled SFV (scout fighting vehicle) mounting a 120mm with limited ammo, a coax two shot ATGM (right side of turret) and also a coax small ion gun (same type as the infantry carry). Almost no armor, i'm thinking Tempest values but i could use some in-put there. Fast at least as fast as the shrike. Forgot to add guy for scale so its about man high. Gripes, comments, Criticisms?
  19. Ok I just had to chime in. I've never done any 3D modeling but I just had to try and Sketch-up was easy so here is my idea for a recon AFV. 120mm with 10AP and 10 HEAT, and Two ATGM Coax, (can you have more then one coax weapon if so then a 6mm Ion for inf defence, no ammo needed) I have a pic of the model so far but I dont know how to post it, help please.
  20. FYI the sub-glacis is called the GUN Mantel or just Mantel like a mantel above a fire place. Dont know why thats just what it was called. Love the models by the way. Makes me want to try making my VERY light recon tank. But i know nothing about modeling.

  22. quick note: The auto slew on he Abrams is directed by the TC. He picks the new direction and once the gun is fired it moves to the new direction. It is not fully automated (YET )

    Money issues

    From the general tone of the boards I think you are about ready to release so a couple of questions conserning the almighy dollar (OR Euro or yen or pound... you get the point) 1) can we, the general public, preorder or is it going to be a feeding frenzy the first day? 2) I might have missed this but are servers going to free with the game (like Halo) or you you going to have subscriptions?
  24. I was just now digging a moat around the Blood flag when my cutter hit a phantom bouncy rock. At a point SE of the flag the cutter stopped bounced up into the air and flipped on its side. Did I dig to deep?
  25. I like the tempest but my poor finger gets tired after a fight or from clicking the mouse button so many times . I tried to switch to a game pad to give my finger a brake and I could not get the turret to aim correctly. I have Thrustmaster firestorm Dual analog pro, and an old Mircosoft dual strike. No Go on eigther. It would give about 20 degrees deflection center that was it. Oh and how about and option to switch control maps in the game. I had to exit the fight to switch back to defaults since even though I did not change the keyboard mapping it would not respond to the default controls.
