Moon stated that the downloads will go active somewhere DURING THE DAY US TIME, so for all the refresh monkeys out there in Western Europe, this means that you probably get to download somewhere during the early hours of the evening.
Aussies will get to download in the middle of the night from the 27th to the 28th. *grin*

If you get a new theatre of operations then yes, I'd say we'll get a lot of new objects as well.
But as I understand it nothing has been said about either new theatre of operations (except the WW2 module of course) nor new objects, only new armies.
I would like to know if all expansions will me modules or (in case of the WW2 module) stand-alone titles?

Somewhere on these board there was a link to a YouTube video about an IED attack on a convoy. Scary stuff I tell you.
Doesn't the employment of IED's undermine a lot of tactics and planning, because you never know what they enemy comes up with time after time?

Hi, stumbled upon CMBB a few years ago and have learned quite a bit about WW2 warfare. Coming off and on to the forums I really enjoyed the wealth of information (and nutcase threads for that matter) and I am looking forward to that for the new CM as well!
Hope to play quite a few good games with you guys and as always I'll be here off and on!

I was a NVidia fan for a long time and jumped over to ATi (the X1950 Pro to be exact) after having a GF6600GT for quite a while. I made the jump mainly because of the best price for the hottest card and I am still dependant on AGP.
The GF6600 performed great for the little card (128MB version) and was rock solid.
The new ATi card gave me a few poblems at first, but it was mainly because I didn't read the manual well enough (DISABLE Fast Writes in your BIOS if applicable and be sure to disable it in the SMartGart driver settings as well. This is not mentioned in the manual anywhere but if not done will make the card extremely unstable!).
GOOD Power supply is a must for the new generation vidcards. Eventhough you can have a 550W power unit, it's really the sustained (not peak!!) Ampere value that will define your power quality. Under power your vidcard and you'll definately get problems.
Lots of users reporting problems with the X1950 were using crap PSU's.
Driver wise I don't have any problems whatsoever with ATi's set. It's a solid as NVidia's so as far as I am concerned Elmar's points in quality differences don't really stand. (Nothing personal, my friend!
).I guess its like (and always has been) a matter of choice and similar fanboyism like what happens over and over between AMD and Intel.
If anyone wants to go for the X1950 Pro, I'd say go for it, but make sure you have a proper PSU, because this thing sucks AMPs like a leech!

Heh this thread reminds me of similar issues I had patching up CMBB.
I've never really played CMAK until now and I was wondering if there has been any progress in these 'popular starter kits'?
With all due respect I do not see the harm in posting one's preferred mod packs.
Every modder has put a tremendous effort in creating the mod, but surely certain mods are used by almost every CMAK player, so why not compile a list of these commonly used mods?
The individual player can still browse through the CMMODs database to find other/better gems to add to the experience, but at least new people will have a 'starter kit' to get up to speed with if such a list is posted.
Think about a:
-Patched up CMAK (desert) mod list
and a
-Western front conversion mod list
Again, with all due respect to every modder out there!
