Question: Assume no landings on majors rule; barbarossa kicks in; german corps move northwards encircling the red army above koenigsberg thus gray-ing some hexes in the process - Another axis unit disembark in one of those grayed hexes - is it a rule breaker or is the axis player allowed to land on hexes he took control in that very turn ?
  2. that overlord is weird ... AI won vs me but berlin and rome were axis held ... bleah sometimes i manage to retreat in good order from russia and they can't do crap to me but they still win because of larger overall score (i guess). Only one game i managed to utterly trash the AI in 1944 scenario. As for 39 scenario i found out that it is better to play allies and let AI have +2exp as Axis - game is challenging to some point (where axis go out of supply in russia). I played vs AI allied and gave 500 mpps in 1/5/20 system - olala russians got 11k mpps - game ended in nov 1943 - mpps in large quantites for the AI are useless as the AI does not know how to make good use of those extra mpps.

  4. there were 3 nice games, good AARs as well and less of a smacktalk - the crowd is satisfied with your performance - shall I say 'keep up the good work' ?
  5. pure air wars suck AA is a bit buggy IMHO - u use that to call out fighters to intercept and trash them using the city bonus - bleah - if RAF hits a german held port does the intercepting LW fight the battle above London? LOL
  6. anyway this game is a copy of our first game which ended in a draw (only because i did the usual stupidities like leaving sweden and med cities undefended - this won't happen again i promise you ) - my succesful sealion was not enough to win the game with all those red corps sailing all over the map ... your Reds were unable to break the double row corps defence in the east ... remember? Maybe Dessy will be able to crush you after UK falls ... Man you deserve a beating for Desert Storming poor iraqis so early in the game --- gogogogo Desaix

  8. yeah, keep the game abstract - less micromanagement increase the fun-factor - you ppl want 1h30mins turns so u can replace all damaged tracks of every Panzer unit in the game? God forbid ... ppl don't take SC2 for Panzer General, FFS PG was cool, SC is cool but it is something else.
  9. after you kill the oslo defender and the city is empty, you have to move another unit adjacent to the port in order to capture it - killing the defender is not enough to get oslo/port a simple scheme: axis use say, 3 units for getting norway: one positioned right of Oslo, 2 left; the most southern unit lands (3 hexes down from Oslo - left side) and do not move; the units in transports left-right to Oslo disembark and kill the corps; the unit that landed 3 hexes below Oslo (left side) move adjacent to the port and capture it; the HQ/whatever waiting in Denmark sets sail to Norway, disembark using the captured port and enter Oslo.

With rockets and bombers and german lvl 5 typhoon subs Another interesting option would be to set join percentages to zero and put a handicap on axis dows on minors - like 3-4 turns delay between dows (post france) - whatever, any whacky setting would do after all
  11. yep, as shown in this AAR, DH's assessment is quite accurate imho -> zapp lost way too many mpps in the east. But, you never know ...

  13. DH, by late 42 it is too late to have so serious handicaps like -2 jet tech - luck doesn't matter, lol ... it surely does - i had in one game lvl 5 jets with 2 chits by mid 1941 - beat that It doesn't matter so much until say, 10-15 turns after Russia joined; after that it matters a lot.

  16. air battles over uk, 4 LW battling 2 RAFs gerries get lvl1 jets manny and the LWs in norway continue to train, FF army reduced to str 2 suez gangsters pounded to extinction by spaghettis and Rundstedt's LWs uk corps probing ungarrisoned cities...tough luck this time
  17. hits on brest port - RAF shows jet 1 hits on bergen port as well as FF army in bergen yugos refuse to give up despite a truckload of axis troops chasing them no spain for me yet as we don't wanna piss off the big guys...time...time is all i need now

  19. axis tend to suck majorly in this game...but i will take terif's advice: fight till yer screwed
