  5. Its whatever the opposing players want, however anyone not willing to play WEGO need not apply.
  6. https://sites.google.com/site/cmbnnormandy44/ Above is a link to my website that contains a system for playing Combat Mission at an operational level by combining the game John Tillers Panzer Campaigns with Combat Mission. All the system needs is an umpire who owns the relevant JTPZC game and at least two players or teams of players. JTPZC is used to manoeuver units at the operational level and Combat Mission to resolve any combat. I am going to run a scenario from JTPZC Normandy 44 utilising Combat Mission Battle for Normandy. The JTPZC scenario i am using is an axis attack on the 101st Airborne around the town of Carentan 13th June 1944. If anybody is interested could they reply to this thread informing me of the side they would prefer, their location, time period they can play CM and an estimate of their average weekly CM turn rate. I have five players already and need another nine to start the game plus a reserve list in case of players dropping out. All CM battles fought will be exactly 45 turns on maps 1 x 1 km with rear edge exit zones for tactical withdrawal purposes. All CM battlemaps used will be taken from the quick battle or scenario map pool based on their compatibility with the operational terrain the combatants occupy. I am going to have players from different time zones in this game and will try and match up players from the same time zone for CM battles, but if that is not possible i may CM turn rates start to drop off and delays are caused because of the time zone difference i may have to make it US or Euro only depending on the where the majority of signed up players are from, and at the moment that is the US. Players also need to be able to process at least one CM turn a day, as long as that can be achieved i dont think time zones will be an issue.
  7. I see, ok i will try putting it into the scenario file this time, cheers.
  8. Im generating a quick battle via the quick battle section in the game menu and using a quick battle map i have modified, i have tested it again and troops wont exit the map no matter how many turns i generate with them within the exit zone, im getting the impression that exit zones are only relevant for single player campaign games.
  9. Yes, basically i want to be able to set up a QB for 2 humans to play that allows both sides the option of retreating off the map via their respective friendly map edges.
  10. I was talking about a quick battle, just take any QB map and add the defenders exit zone along the defenders edge of the map then start it up as a 2 player hotseat attack / defence QB and try and get a defending unit to exit.
  11. I'm only interested in exit zones that allow defending units to make a tactical withdrawal, but when i set up an exit strip at the rear of the defenders deployment zone, then ran a platoon onto it to simulate a retreat i got through 7 turns and it still didnt fade away, if it takes longer than seven turns its not worth me using it for what i want, am i doing something wrong ?
  12. Hi George, The fading away part is what i'm interested in so i will test it, cheers.
  13. I have been playing around in the scenario editor and i have yet to work out what exit zones actually do, could anyone enlighten me ?
  14. I think its an excellent idea, any function that reduces micro management is a winner as far as i'm concerned.
  15. The first three screenshots are comedy gold, post the movie, please
  16. I actually want more information, like star sign and favourite film etc.
  17. Yes its tragic, i was hoping for Combat Mission battle for the Falkland Islands
  18. Thanks for getting back on this diesel, im pleased to hear you say it was a tease, but you will have to forgive me, in these days of emoticons i get used to smiley faces after teases so the absence of one made me think it was, so i apologise for my part in this misunderstanding
  19. After reading your post again i'd just like to point out that we had made no arrangement as to when i was going to send my turn so if i have inconvenienced you thats your fault not mine for assuming i was going to send my defensive set up that quickly, we all know that defensive set ups are the longest turn to complete so your expectations of when you were going to recieve it were a little optimistic to say the least. You know that once i do my set up my turn rate is extremely good so please don't imply im in anyway tardy when it comes to playing CM.
