  3. It all depends on the details of the aircarft and situation. For example, just starting at Very Low will give any Leader 2 extra cards at the start of the game. If the Leader had High Performance, Redline, Extra Card, Quick Reflexes, Aggressive, Evasive, or any of a couple w/m skills, they could all add to his cards in hand during a turn. Diving will also add cards. With Power Dive, 2 cards per level are drawn.
  4. Your starting altitude does not change your Performance rating, but it modifies the number of cards you start with.

  6. You're right, in general it only affects Horsepower. But your initial selected altitude adds to, or subtracts from, the number of initial cards you are dealt. Notice when you pull down on the starting altitude menu it shows a card modifier.
  7. I've flown 7 missions against the bots in the last 2 days, all 1v1. From what I can tell nothing has changed in their toughness. I tried to fly a variety of planes and XP levels. Here are the details of the missions... Mission #1... Me: P-40Ns Bots: Bf-110s Outcome: (Me: Flipped and Undamaged), (Bots: Killed and Undamaged) Mission #2... Me: Fw-190s Bots: P-38s Outcome: (Me: Killed and Undamaged), (Bots: Flipped and Undamaged) Mission #3... Me: Bf-109Bs Bots: Buffalos Outcome: (Me: Undamaged and Undamaged), (Bots: Flipped and Killed) Mission #4... Me: Fw-190s Bots: Hurricane IIs Outcome: (Me: Undamaged and Undamaged), (Bots: Killed and Killed) Mission #5... Me: Gladiators Bots: Oscars Outcome: (Me: Undamaged and Undamaged), (Bots: Killed and Undamaged) Mission #6... Me: Nates Bots: P-35s Outcome: (Me: Undamaged and Undamaged), (Bots: Flipped and Undamaged) Mission #7... Me: P-40Ns Bots: Tonys Outcome: (Me: Undamaged and Undamaged), (Bots: Killed and Killed)
  8. Maybe the computer is taking into account the modification to starting cards due to starting altitude? Based on the P=6 and HP=4, and its skills, it looks like this 110 is starting at Low altitude.
  9. I'll fly a few missions and try to get a feel for whether there is something odd going on, or if you guys have just run into a patch of bad luck...

  11. If you have encountered this error when you attempt to log-on to the online play, it probably means that you have a local software or hardware firewall that is blocking the connection. Firewalls usually have a control panel that allows you to give permission to specific programs to access the internet.
  12. In the very early designs of the card game, Maneuvering countered Maneuvering, and Half Loop countered Half Loop. The problem was the games would stalemate at a given position. By making those cards more offensive in nature with no reaction capability it made for more fluid dogfights were positioning was always being altered.

  16. Greywolf, No problem! I take it as a compliment if people get excited about the game. To me it shows that you care about the game and want to make it better. The only two planes that I can think of that have a 4 wingman offense are the German Me-262 and the Japanese Shinden.
  17. It's a lot of fun seeing the game unfold with new campaigns and new aircraft adding to the world. It's also great hearing directly from players about the good and bad aspects of what we've done.
  18. The Randy is only rated at 372 because of its average Performance of 6 and Horsepower of 2. The only real strength that it has is its 2 Bursts. This makes its wingman on the fence of getting either a 3 or 4 Offense. Compared with some of the other planes that only get a 3 for their wingman, I think you're right, giving it a 4 is a touch too good. We'll reduce it to a 3.
  19. One of the items on the to do list is to allow players to set-up which pilots are on which sides in a dogfight.
  20. I think the idea of combining the two games is very cool. But, I cannot even imagine the coding issues that would have to be overcome!
