  1. Looks like I'm sitting around 55th and I'm happy as pie. I'm not sure how other replacements felt, but I found it difficult picking up somebody elses game in the middle. With the pressure to get things moving, my mind simply couldn't wrap itself around most of the scenarios until I started playing them for several turns or more. It's a big advantage to give up. This was particularly true of one scenario that I absolutely loathed the set-up the second I opened it. I saw a disaster in the making. Sure enough, Deadly88 layed a serious whooping on me that I'm still smarting from. I would like to thank Kingfish, Holien, SpanishBombs and anyone else responsible for putting on this ROW tournament. You can bet I'll be signed up for the next one! Finally a big thanks to my oppponents. They were a pleasure to play against - Brent, Strider, PittPanther, PantherCommander and Deadly88. iik
  2. Fredendall definitely stank and was a corps level commander at a time when the US Army had just that one corps in the field. He made a dogs breakfast of his command in just about every possible way. </font>
  3. This morning, the part of John Kettler shall be played by i.i.koshkin. I (Levitacus) am currently waiting patiently "in-the-hole". iik
  4. Very nice. I don't think the leaves are too bright at all.
  5. While reading through old AARs I ran across this excerpt from Lt. Col W.B. Kern. He was commanding the first battalion of the A.I.?. (can't read the copy - think it's regiment) near Teboursouk (again, letters somewhat fuzzy) Tunisia. The action was from 1942: During the engagement of December 3-6, I used a platoon of half-tracks to counter-attack, employing them as tanks against a German company which had penetrated the front line and which had no anti-tank weapons. The attack was highly successful. It's mighty light on details but I thought it interesting enough to post.
