Does anyone have a scenario/map that depicts the failed attack by Rommel on April 14, 1941?
There is a further failed attack by Rommel a few weeks later on Ras el Medauuar, a hill to the south west of Tobruk. Is there a scenario based on this attack? Thanx. :-)
Check your PM Muso57.

I think this is what you are looking for:Originally posted by abneo3sierra:There is a website mentioned elsewhere in this forum, which shows alot of work by a Chris who has put together spreadsheets and a decent database showing most of this, including things like hit%, kill% vs different units, etc..I will try to dig and find where I saw it.

That's why I am asking about this. WWI with the Achtung Spitfire engine or Flight Commander 2's game engine would be a blast imo.Originally posted by JeffGeorge:I've been wanting a non-sim WWI game for a long time.
OT: Would there be a way to mod those games to WWI? What would open them up?

Better yet...
World War I Air Combat made with an updated Flight Commander 2 or Achtung Spitfire / Over the Reich game engine.
I'd bite.

You have just made a gigantic mistake giving up.Originally posted by Hellmut:Thanks for all the replies,
I have had far too many issues with the running of the demo to warrant a full purchase.
Yes i have all up to date drivers etc.....
All my other games run great so i'm disappointed that this doesn't.
Hate to say it but with the issues here + the problems people have had with the new COI i have decided to buy Sudden Strike 3.
Yes i know it's not as intelligent, but i played it for most of the weekend and it hasn't disappointed me (realism is lacking but it's fun).
Perhaps for casual play this is a better option
Thanks again for all your help
This is a great game(s) and they are worth the effort to make them work on your system. However, I am not sure why you are having trouble.
I have CM on my old rig and my new one (both PC), they work like a charm. My buddy just got a brand new rig, works fine on his system.
Sucks to be you I guess, but I think you gave up way to quick.

Kind of reminds me of Avalon Hill's Panzer Blitz on computer.Originally posted by Impudent Warwick:That TALACOSI game on the site looks nice, too... anyone tried it?

As well if you search for CMETO on the forum you will find that it is a mod pack to convert CMAK into CMETO (basically almost like CMBO, except updated to CMAK standards).
Two games for the price of one. Here's the site:
-
As well Check out Robert Olesens' (RobO) Quick Campaigns (ROQC). You can find it at CM Mods (requres registration) under the designer RobO in the CMAK section. He made it for both CMBB and CMAK.
This makes for a "core" force to be made and used throughout the time period you choose using Excel or printed out charts he provides to keep track of your units. Mostly automated for easy use.
Check out the threads about it in this forum.

Try reading TEAM YANKEE if you haven't already. Another good one imo.Originally posted by aleader:Just finished reading Red Storm Rising (had it forever, just never bothered reading it) and it just made me want a Cold War game even more. Why no Cold War? Would be very interesting, varied, and well-balanced, similar to WW2. Thoughts?

Man... I know all that about CMETO. I didn't explain myself correctly.Originally posted by Philippe:There are two kinds of terrain files in CMAK -- North African and Italian.
CMETO doesn't exist as a discrete program: it's simply a set of mods to CMAK Italian terrain.
ALL I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW is are there any HIGH CONTRAST terrain files for CMETO!?!?!!??
Or will CMAK's modded high contrast terrain files look right in CMETO if they are used? I would think not.
Thx for your time.
-
That may be true, but I enjoy them.
As well, I was mainly asking about the HIGH CONTRAST type for CMETO. I would like to see elevations better at different views. Would the CMAK ones work then? I don't think so as they are NA/Italy files correct?
-
I asked this in another thread, should have been this one...
Are there any high contrast gridded terrain mods for CMETO? Or do the CMAK ones work for CMETO? I would assume they don't?
thx

This should get stickied in the CMAK and CMBB forums. Bumped again.

I think this should be stickied in both the CMAK and CMBB forums . Bumped again.

I like them. I like Jagdpanthers as well. However, all within reason game wise.Anyone else out there that is a Tiger fan? It seems I'm in the minority...I just enjoy using all of the German Mechanized equipment, it's so... Gothic.

CMBB, CMAK and CMETO are all on my hardrive and being used. CMSF is as well, I am just a WWII person though.

LOL... well NO, it's not, but it isn't the ONLY computer game on the planet either. If this one ain't yet working well, I can always play Civ IV, Forge of Freedom, Carriers at War, blah, blah, blah. [/QB]Originally posted by LeBlaque:

‘Brazen Chariots’ is a classic. I lost mine years ago, totally forgetting the name of it. Now I will be able to pick it up again... Thanks for the link.
