Ok in that case you have never had a log in for the current CMMODS III.  You do not require a log in unless you are an author.  The BF website has nothing to do with the login process for CMMODSIII.

So in closing we can scrub JoMc67 problem as basically no problem exists.

You only need a log in if you are going to upload mods.

Any log in from previous CMMODS incarnations will not work as they are not required.

    Anyone can download mods.

    Next.  ;)

Thanks again, Bootie, for your Cooperation :-)

JoMc67 - you only need to sign in if you are uploading mods... anyone can download them.  Are you uploading a mod.  I've checked the user section on CMMODS and you have never been an author - if you require to become an author follow the tips I just passed to Z1812.

Oh No, not an Author...I just tried signing-in but was unable (been using the same Name & Password for yrs).

I had no problems with the past CMMODSII and new CMMODSIII (until now). It's possible that when BF Transitioned over to new Website some things got messed-up ?

WW I slaughter in two pics! A battalion of the Cameron Highlanders in 1914 and the same battalion in 1918.

I wonder if this included replacements, if not, then that Battalion would have been completely down to 0 by wars end...However, as a Battalion becomes smaller and thinner during the war it would tend to take less and less casualties (thou, the % would remain roughly the same).

This reminds me of a thought I've sometimes had. Of all the German soldiers who participated in the invasion of Poland in 1939, I wonder how many were still alive when hostilities ceased six years later.

    Michael

Well, if you take the actual original participants (to not include replacements) in say a Division from 39' to 45', then my guess would be about 10% left.

  5. So, sttp, will I be your first Human Opponent, or do you already have someone else in mind ?...I'm ready to PBEM if interested, and prefer QB's that are up to Reinforced Company size Meeting Engagements (or Small). If anything, at least, keep me in mind for the future.

Anyways, there is no real list of 'House Rules' on the Forums per-say, but an almost Mandatory 'House Rule' that many players use is that there is "No Arty on first turn of a 'Meeting Engagement' -OR- "Arty on first turn into Setup Zone of Attacker" (First turn Arty called into Defender is Ok and standard practice).

Below is a set of 'House Rules' that I use:

1* No Pre-Planned Arty on Turn 1 of a Meeting Engagement, or Turn 1 from Defender. Attacker in Attack/Defense Games are exempt and can call in Arty on Turn 1.

2* Players will let the Computer AI choose what Targets to shoot at (player can't choose Targets, but can still use Small Arms & HE' Area-Fire'). Player can still use Smoke at anytime and any Location on the Map.

3* Units can check LOF (line of Sight/Fire, and thus conduct Small Arms & HE Area-Fire) at two locations per turn...Once before Movement (exact location of Unit at beginning of turn), and at the first Waypoint (doesn't matter how short or long the Waypoint is)...However, if you check LOF at that Waypoint, then you must keep that Waypoint w/o any alteration (can't delete or change it until next turn).

4* Players Can't click on Enemy Icons or Units during a Game.

5* Direct Small Arms & HE Area-Fire ( can't be more then roughly 2x Action-Spots in any direction from Enemy Icons or Units (Active or Inactive Icons).

6* Vehicle Smoke Dischargers (not Smoke Shells) is controlled by the Computer AI, and not by the Player.

  6. If you don't already have a 'Z Folder', then you will need to make one (just add an empty folder, and name it 'Z Folder') and put it into your 'Data' Folder. Your Mods will always go into this folder (only 'Mods', and not new Scenarios', etc)...I have attached a couple pics to show you what mine looks like:

    First Pic: CMBN 'Data Folder.

Second Pic: 'Z Folder' that you will need to make and insert into 'Data' Folder.

Third Pic: Just shows all my current CMBN Mods within that 'Z Folder'.

  7. Actually, you minus well get the VP and BP since, content wise, will bring your CMBN Game System up to date (not sure if Battlefront is coming out with anymore content for CMBN).

What happens if you Play against an Opponent who has the VP, and you don't...Then, that Player will have additional equipment buying power then you...And, they are only $10 each anyways.

  8. Yeah, had same issue in CMBN...M5 Light Tank penetrated top Hull of PzIVH and went through the back of Engine Bay and landed on road several meters behind.

Thou, I see it happening more frequently if something like a PzIVH (or Panther) penetrating an M8 AC, and passing through to hit another M8 AC (or M5 Light Tank) directly behind.

Looking forward to the end of RT, I am sure it would come with Hungarian maybe Romanian forces as well as Waffen SS.... Partisans would be cool.  However by GOD I would love early Russia as well so we could see battles like this unfold... or change?    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Raseiniai

This would be cool as they would technically have all the elements to reverse back to the start after the last RT module.... you could then use all the German Allies etc for the beginning of the war just changing the TOE... which we know is a pain.. probably.

I think, Steve, mentioned that Huns & Romanian Forces won't be included, but still might get 'Partisans'.

  10. Ok, you will need to unzip that 'Mod' Folder and drop it into your 'Z Folder' (contains all your 'Mods') which is located in your 'Data' Folder.

If you need to reinstall the Game in the future, then simply save that whole Z Folder' (put it somewhere in your Computer or Thumb Drive) and drop it back into your 'Data' folder, and you will be set.

A few years ago someone offered a mod or app that displayed the activities of units in green text on the lower left of the map screen, such as if they were spotting or moving when you clicked on each unit, and showed what each soldier in a squad or other type of unit was doing at the time. Does anyone know how to find this file on a computer or where it can be downloaded?Activity.thumb.png.fd699b6b7d3826b0b9ae8df2130eb3bd.png

I have 'Veins Animation Mod' that you are referring to, Dominick...Here is the Dropbox Link:

Sorry Joe, I was in a hurry to finish my Christmas shopping. I arrived yesterday in the family to celebrate the end of year. And, forgot to warn you before leaving, my fault...

I wish you and all a Merry Christmas ! Back Jan, 2nd for my AAR of the first turns...

Oh, it's no problem, ncc, as I figured Christmas Shopping takes precedence over Gaming...I also wish You and Family a Merry -X-Mas & Happy New Year :-)

At the rate it will probably take to see them back up, he might as well hit Ebay or Amazon. He could have them in a few days.

    Mord.

Yeah, and it's still nice to have those older CMx1 titles to look-up actual TO&E from different Nationalities, Armor & Penetration Tables, etc, etc...Now, I wouldn't play them anymore, but still a good source of info.

  14. I remember getting a second copy of BO-BB-AK CD's on Flea-Bay or Amazon about 5 yrs ago for someone...New BO & BB Hack-in-Slash versions (non-BF/CDV versions) for around $5-10 each, but a used AK (BF or CDV versions) for around $25.

Also, with those Hack-in-Slash BO & BB CD Editions you can even download them on Multiple PC's (I did w/o issues).

Oh, Never mind...You are looking for the Download Editions :-(
