Gentlemen(and ladies?),
I found this thread during a search and thought that this might be the place to post my question: How do I get PBEM Helper to recognize a particular CM game? It's already detected CMAK, but I'm having trouble with CMBB. I followed the instructions listed in the above linked tutorial under "Tell PBEM Helper about your CM executables", but the problem remains. Suggestions?

again I think some of you are missing my point, I know in Normady distaces were close... However I think alot of you need to read the battles around the Caen area. I know the Pz IV H and J were not the best tank.

My argument is with
1. Better optics
2. Vetran crew vs Green crew or Regular
3. High velocity vs Low Velocity
4. Ammunition
5. Range im talking about is 500m to 1000m
All this and the Sherman.. Tinder box seems like it still has an edge over Pz IV H or J..
Its a wonder how you can even use them in a scenerio.
And as a Historian I know the Kill ratio was alot higher on the Axis side vs the Allies.
In fact the Morale of the US tankers and even British tankers were so bad in Normady they cried out to DC.
Anyways... I think I got my point accross... when they developed the Pz IV... it seems that the dynamics are wrong for it. That tank should be more acurate than it is, and should be able to penetrate the Sherman at long range with a vetran crew well before that slow 75mm gun of the Sherman with a regular or green crew can hit the Pz IVH...unless the Sherman gets lucky dice rolls every round.
For instance... I had a entire Platoon of Pz IVH spread accross a large field... vs a Platoon of Sherman M3 with the short 75mm... at a range of 1000m facing each other...German crews were Vetran with a Crack Platoon leader.. Shermans were all Green except for a Regular Platoon leader.
end result were 2 shermans destroyed.. 4 Pz IVH destroyed...
Oh and for the shurzen..I know they wont stop AP rounds.. however they will slow them down and affect there penetration value.
Also my M3 data...in my second post was taken straight from the Sherman web site.. Im not talking about the 76mm 17lb gun.
Check out Achtung Panzer! look at there data, they have a great web site.

Support units like this will shift their command lines to another leader unit(if within command radius, which depends on HQ experience and command bonuses) if their attached leader is too far away.
What's the experience level of HQ unit? Does it have any command bonuses?

I doubt instant death as well. I saw a video on the History Channel of some Commonwealth forces(a New Zealander squad, I think) accompanied by a combat cameraman that encountered what they thought was an enemy position in a small cave off to their side. A flamethrower was brought forward and the hole was bathed in flame. A lone Japanese soldier staggered out of the flame, crumpled to the ground, and just sat there, burning and staring at the camera.

Hello, Stoffel! I have to say that there are more than a couple of people who remember the German occupation of Crete and are still not happy about it. I'm surprised that monument lasted as long as it did.
This may be a complete fabrication, but I had an instructor who was stationed at Crete for a few years, and he told me the story of a German veteran. This guy returned to Crete decades after being stationed there during the war, occupation duties and such. As he was walking along a rural road, he encountered a sheep farmer. The farmer noticed that he wasn't a local resident and asked the usual questions. When the veteran explained the farmer excused himself for a few minutes, returned and shot the veteran.
This may be a rumor turned legend, but all of the Greeks that I've met were not people with whom I would trifle.

Thanks, Diesel. I did as you instructed, changing the executable to my existing one, but it's still not registering on the installed program screen. My woes continue.
