I had a similar thing happen in a PBEM I'm playing with a friend. A squadron of my German infantry was shooting at some Soviets when the trees they were in burst into flames. They were right in the middle of it and it wasn't bothering them at all. Gotta love those fireproof uniforms they were using back then.

I use myrealbox. Their limit on files is not an issue, I believe it's like 7.5m or something like that. The only things you have to deal with are server downtime every once and a while(It's a testbed for Novell NetMail) while the do software upgrades and whatnot and that you need a valid non-webmail e-mail address to sign up. Another thing is right now they are having issues with the SoBig worm. I am having trouble sending e-mails because I cannot connect to the SMTP server, it usually has too many connections. But if you keep trying it usually sends after a few tries. But that should be fixed in a couple days(I hope). edit: Another thing you could do is use a program like WinZip to zip the file before sending those big ones. I personally go for a little of both. I never pick green or :shudder: conscripts. But also I never pick crack or elite either. With green and conscript they break to easily and just aren't worth it IMO. Elite and Crack just don't give you enough units. I usually buy regular with a smattering of veterans mixed in. Of course I'm sure others do it completely different but hey, that's why this is a cool game.

Speak for yourself. I'm finding it's hampering me right now in our PBEM. I personally usually stick to medium size maps. But it depends on what kind of a battle I'm playing. If it's all infantry I don't want the map too big. All armour battles are definatly going on bigger maps. A 3000pt game on a huge map seems to be working out pretty good but I also like a 300pt game on a small map too. Just depends on what I'm in the mood for and how much time I have. Hi all... I've been playing a whole bunch of PBEMs lately both CMBO and CMBB and I'm getting sick of changing my CDs everytime a new e-mail comes in. Does anyone know where I can get a no CD key at? I did a search for no CD key but didn't see anything to relevant pop up. Thanks

Hi... I'm 99% positive you can't have engineers blow up bridges. I'm not sure but I think I've read that if you hit it enough with some big arty it'll blow up but like I said, not sure.

Assuming he survives when the tank gets hit.

Thanks for clearing that up. I got it to load by dropping into safe mode. Don't know why it kept freezing up on me but whatever, it works now.

Just curious but could the problem be becaues there's only the CMBB Installer.exe file on the disk be the issue? In the manual it says to click on setup.exe but there isn't a setup.exe. Thanks

Hi all... I just got CMBB in the mail to day and am having some issues with it. I came home, popped it into the CD Rom, clicked on My Computer, D:\, CMBB Installer.exe and the disk just spun. I went to task manager and the D: drive wasn't responding. SO I give it a few minutes, no good. Try to End Task from the Task Manager and I get an error telling me it can't shut down. So I reset and pop it into my CD R/W drive. Same issues. Now I bought CMBO less than a month ago and it installed just fine. My computer is more than powerful enough to handle the game so it isn't anything like that. I don't think it'd be the drivers because I use both CD Roms daily and have installed more than one program in the last month with them. Any ideas? Is there a way to recover morale??? I don't believe I've seen it happen in the game but I'm not 100% sure. Anyone?

I stopped using tanks to ferry troops up to the front because of the losses I was taking when my tanks got hit. Sure it's helpful to have an anti-tank team up there to take out the enemy tank but if they team got routed or killed when your tank exploded what's the point?

I'm thinking more along the lines of versus AI. I just got the game and am not quite ready for PBEM yet.

This game never ceases to amaze me. I was just playing a ME against the Americans. Kicking butt too. I'd knocked out all their vehicles and was blasting away infantry with my tanks. Well I had most of my infantry in the woods at a VP when suddenly a nasty, nasty artillary barrage hits. They had to have been at least 105mm. I'm not familiar enough with the game yet to be positive. And with all my guys in the same clump of woods it wasn't pretty. Lots of deaths and routs. Hi... Here's another good site for an AAR Read the ParaBellum vs. MasterGoodale one, it's very good. BigD I agree that there are many helpful people out there for this forum. I think part of it is because the people who come to this forum really love this game and are willing to share their love for this game with others. I've found the same thing with Civ3 and the forums for that.
