  1. Aha! I'll try this now. Had the same questions. Thanks for answering.
  2. I must say I am very pleased so far as well. The more I play the better it gets. I am a rock solid WWII buff, but at the moment I can hardly imagine going back to CM/BO/BB/AK. Great Work!
  3. That first mission devastated me. That same T-54 on the reverse slop took out 3 M1A1s and 4 Strykers full of infantry before I got the situation under control! Needless to say I was far to weakened to win...Syrian Victory. Don't ever, ever, get too snobby with all this new fangled equipment...or you will most certainly get seriously bloodied.
  4. I'm sure this is possible in the campaign editor. Also check out the thread on Unit Names
  5. I'm guessing the name CMC gives units must transfer to CMBB then.
  6. OK...I suppose the scenario objectives are fairly explicit anyway, negating the need for the AI to tell you to take an objective. Another question though: if the AI is superior, will you be able to request artillery, reinforcements, etc?
  7. Excellent! I've really been enjoying MMG's Bull Run, which has a similar system. The big plus of CMC is the coop multiplayer.
  8. That would be pretty important especially in relation to Urban warfare. It would be pretty strange if that factory you flattened in the last battle showed up in tip top shape in the next battle!
  9. From reading the FAQ and this forum I am being led to understand that you can take charge of any or all ME's in a campaign. In other words rather than take charge of a whole side you could play the campaign using just that lonely Aufklarungs Kompanie ME, and the OpAI would give you orders/objectives/etc. Is this true?
  10. As I understand a Stalingrad campaign will be included with CMC. It should be very interesting to see how that plays out....
  11. I sure hope this is not true. I had read in a previous thread that CMC keeps track of every soldier so that losses are accurately distributed. It seems that the same could be done of units also.....
  12. Outstanding! Thank you very much for the answer, Hunter.
  13. My example was somewhat poor...I apologize. Say my ME was II. Bataillon, 62. Infanterie Regiment. It would consist of 5. Kompanie, 6. Kompanie, 7. Kompanie, and 8. Kompanie. In normal CMBB, these company's would be listed starting with Aco, Bco, Cco, Dco. However, even if using a letter format these company's should really be listed as Eco, Fco, Gco, and Hco. In that way you would automatically understand that these company's belong in the second Battalion as opposed to first or third. Using nation specific names would add greatly to the atmosphere IMHO, but aren't neccessary. The more important thing is to differentiate your ME's on the CMBB battlefield. I hope I added some clarification.....
  14. I never really liked the "A,B,C,D Company" designations in CMBB...especially if the scenario briefing called you commander of 4./II./62IR/7ID. I was always dissapointed with the generic names once the game opened up. I would find this even more dissapointing/confusing in CMC. Having the CMC names match the CMBB names would provide greater continuity and atmosphere IMHO. For instance, if an ME consisting of I./62IR attacks a Soviet position, it would be cool if CMBB opened with the Batt HQ labeled I./62IR and the company's listed as 1. Kompanie, 2. Kompanie, 3. Kompanie, 4. Kompanie, rather than ABCD. I am using German designations as an example, but Soviet designations would likewise add greatly. Any other players think the same?
  15. Aren't the 2x2 tiles divided into 4 1x1 CMBB maps? At least that's how I understood it. In that case a couple battalions could make a defensive front on the tile with one in reserve behind them. Any attack would be against one or the other battalion. Seems ok with me......maybe I'm missing something?
