  1. If you have a scenario you would like added please link it below. I'll do my best to keep this updated as well.

A sticky wouldn't hurt either, at least until a scenario forum is created. ;)

  2. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying my AARs. I do them because when I was first starting out playing CM I found some that really got me interested. Also I think it's a lot of fun to follow along with someone's battle and see how they do things. Also the extra screenshots are never a bad thing. smile.gif

Well I've done 31 turns now and lost 47 men, 4 T-72s, and 3 BMP-2s. Things are not going well and I doubt they're going to get any better. But I'm going to stick it through to the end.

Time for me to grab a nap before I work all night. I'll update some more tomorrow. smile.gif

  3. Looking at the city attack map in the editor I have a theory as to why things did not work correctly.

From the looks of it the map is set up for the red to be the defender. All of the objectives that need to be reached are inside of the red setup area. By playing as the red side, attacking blue I think it confused the AI plan enough that blue didn't know how to set up.

    That's just a theory though.

edit: Ok... so much for my theory. I just tried two QB setups... one US attacking Syria and one Uncons attacking Syria... both resulted in the AIs forces sitting in the same corner. shrug.gif

edit 2: Well I just tried a QB on the town map and at least the Syrians weren't crowded into one corner of the map. Of course the AI just set all their troops up outside buildings where they were easier to kill but that's another problem for a different thread.

  4. Well the AI never bothered to set up their units at all so this was a complete waste of time.

Well maybe not a complete waste... people got a couple screenshots to look at out of it. Too bad they weren't very exciting screenshots. I have tomorrow off from work (freak accident by my leadership I'm sure) and will do a scenario or something. That should get at least a bit better results than this.

  5. One thing I thought was a great little touch is having first aid being performed on your casualties. It is a nice touch that adds a bit more to the battle. If I take a casualty I usually will either have that unit sit tight and take of its own or bring up another unit to perform first aid.

I'd be curious to know if this does lessen the number of KIAs in a battle. I would assume so.

  6. Here is a QB AAR I wrote the other day.

I will be doing more in the near future but this week and next I am on an exercise and they are keeping me very busy. I'm hoping that I'll be able to sneak my personal laptop out since I'm working nights and in charge and get to play some out there. ;)

  7. Sorry if this was covered previously... I did a very quick search but didn't get results.

Something I'm noticing is that the AI loves to set up infantry outside of buildings. I just did a battle and every single one of their units was either hiding alongside the buildings or on the roof. None of them were on the first or second floor.

Since they were not hiding inside buildings they were far easier to spot and destroy. If they had been set up intelligently at all it would have been a bloodbath for my forces.
