U cant assualt using a bren gun there heavy awkward and clumbsy, thats why they made the LWS version of the SA80, this can keep up but firing a bren from hip at a dug in enemy is a fools game. Soon to be dead game. Ever tried diving with a bren attached to yourself........ no didnt think so. U need to be prone to fire effectivly. Only idiots fire from hip. And the soon to be dead. An advance with no fire would be good for this option to be as realistic as possible i belive. As with the vickers as a assault weapon. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I had a game just lately where I had a sniper in some woods, an enemy squad 12 rifle men aproached and were cut down to 4 men by mg`s before they got to woods when they did my sniper killed all 4 with a pistol. I suppose becose he never used ammo. I thought it was funny. Another time my sniper was walked over by some troops and there platoon leader stoped 3 meters to his front/leaders front, he was there 30 secs before they seen him the sniper was crack and in brush. He sadly passed away this time. We never recovered body either poor soul and I forget the poor chaps name (wipes tear) .....anyways

Totaly agree mg42 would of been used by an experianced crew who would fire and move there weapon as and where necessary. Personally i would not want that mg42 crew dead and exposed as the ruskies charged and no way to retrive it. Quick way to die relying on rookies............. Did they give the 60 to the rookies in Nam?? i doubt it ... but i wasnt there.

Just seems to me if there out to 800m upwards they cant be killed by a frontal hit.........90% hits ricochet....... any 1 know what will kill them Armour wise, AT guns are a diff story.
