Hey there guys looking for some live play. Just installed CMSF 1.2 and looking for some live players. First you play by email. Thats ok. But nothing compares to live play there and then on a saturday afternoon thrashing out battalion attacks on a massive scale with a buddy. i played prolly 100 games like this on CMAK, but no 1 in proving grounds any miore. Any takers?

what happened to the old proving grounds, i cant find one opponent.??????? and dont say in the opponent finder forum .......................... does any 1 have any ideas where i can play live lan against real human opponents cos the ai....well is the ai CMSF btw

Imagine you and Joe Bloggs and co behind a wall. Bullets chipping walls etc etc your pinned. Then Joe Bloggs spotts flamthrower man approaching and tells rest of you such. Would you keep your head down and get your ass burnt out????? No you would fire at the fookers any chance you got even if there were rounds pinging off near your head. Rather a bullet than burnt alive matey any one disagree?

Never hide a tank, god dam it man. It seems to me the tank commander pulls wool over his eyes and becomes very still. Pity that never fooled that Easy eight as she popped up over that ridge. As she aims your tank commander pulls wool down from one eye. Then reacts when she fires. Normaly to late. Thats what i seem to recall anyways.

If no cover why flank is the main question? I find with germans you can come crashing forward like a lumbering giant smashing what comes in your path. Allies need to flank german uber tanks to win, simplicity in the making that comment.

If you are fighting urban only way to go is engineers. There flames, Satchel charges deny close concentration of close support and are `****ing evil` sorry for my french. Sachels will collapse light buildings and flames will rout enemy before the infantry attacks. Dont see why they would use 81mm mortars vs armour. If they used them against armoured attack, i would of thought it was to break up the infantry with them. Normally tanks wont go alone without the infantry, if they want to live. But, but if it did hit top like Tittles says, i wouldnt be suprised if ur ears popped just a little.

Why you people play the AI and do these things ill never know, a human isnt so thick, but if it floats your boat so to speak........ mines sinking at the thought.

Exactly, during most games when on the attack i tend to get my infantry shot up rather badly even if i get the flags there mainly dead. I try not to bunch up but to get decent fire onto the enemy the riflemen need to be 100-200m away to be of any effect. So there is need to be close. Any advice on how to minimise casualties without spreading your men all over the show. My point being i dont like losing men and was told to play russians on cmbb so not to appriciate life so much .... which i thought was funny.... hehe. But seriously i like to keep men alive any help?

Me too, The 105mm is devestating and can become a friend if placed in the correct positions. A infantry mans best friend is a big `gun` sitting looking at what he can see and shoot what he can shoot Thats great untill you get too close the mg 42`s open up men are running and mortars are landing all over your `gun`. But thats another story.

This is the kind of thing i come to this forum for .... pure poetry.
