  1. Okay, this is a pretty friggin' basic question, but I hate to ASSUME anything: will the Mac version be FULLY compatible with the PC version?

    (Imagine NOT being able to play online/email/LAN unless both players have the same kind of system.)

    Thanks,

    Ken

    Why not! The old CMx1 were perfectly compatible.

    I think PBEM is not a big problem, perhaps a bit more difficult the Online, but feasible.

  2. Is the system going to be the same for CM:N? (sorry if this has been asked before, haven't found it in Winecape's great synopsis :o)

    CMSF -> engine CMx2

    CM:N -> engine CMx2

    So i think the answer is yes! (except for some performance improvement in working code).

    Frankly, I think the system PBEM is efficient with a medium computer and a connection with 3 mega.

    I play files of 20 megs, with a computer of 2006 without major delays.

  3. I think a big problem is the multiplayer, the lack of people online.

    Well I know that is the dog that bites its tail, but it is negative go online and not finding anyone (especially with the demo).

    The PBEM can be a very positive change, but how many games PBEM are currently active!

    Is possible play PBEM with the demo (admitted to finding players)?

  4. thanks for your help! You were very kind!

    I take this opportunity to ask if there is an Italian translation of missions and briefings of CMSF!

    thanks again!

    No.

    There is my translation (on repository), but is only an improvement in translation interface.

    I have an other question: on the Battlefront.com there isn't the section "REPOSITORY"!

    Where can I find all the mods that were there before?

    You can expect that the repository back on, and in the meantime look at this site where there are several mods and scenarios.

  5. "Night Stalkers" bug is still present!

    +1 to the list of people experiences "out of memory" crashes after completing Night Stalkers.

    CMSF 1.21 all module , 2GB of RAM, Win XP, ATI.

    The loading, of next Night Stalkers scenario, begins and I have "out of memory", CTD with 3% or 5%.

    I tried various configurations (wego, graphic otions....), but nothing ever "out of memory" 3% or 5%.

  6. @JonS,

    Could it be that you mean that only "hotseat", but not "PBEM" (as selected in the interface), can be played?

    I am only able to select PBEM campaign after touching the difficulty 'select field'. That is also possible for the vanilla campaign. Your H2H campaign however is directly playable using "hotseat", but PBEM is still only available after the 'UI hack'. I thought it was just a problem in the UI, but perhaps I am doing something that actually isn't possible?

    I think PBEM campaign is not a new feature, but a bug in the menu.

    I have try Marines Campaign H2H and CMSF CTD, when i load a 004 file.

  7. Is it possible to make mixed order of battles to portrait Blue and Red against a Red enemy?

    I am thinking about ISAF Operations like the Battle of Dahaneh... or do you think this can be done by making the "Blue" Afghans using some US Army unit?

    Yes, is possible.

    First: in the scenario editor, set red vs red and select units.

    Second: change editor, blue vs red and select units.
