This was already discussed in an earlier thread. If I find it I will post a link to it.

Thanks for the advice. I will go back sometime and replay it using your suggestion to see if I can better my score any.

Argh - newbie Help: Lonely country?

I have played this one twice, and lost both times. Taking out the german armor is not the problem, both times I was able to defeat them through sheer numbers, though I lost about 1/2 my tank strength in doing so. The problem for me is getting my infantry to move up. The germans have two dug in platoons of infantry and a tank hunter dug in along the road in that depression in the middle of the map, and convincing them to leave takes some time. The first time I played it, I was able to immobilize both assault guns, pretty much rendering them ineffective (though at great cost to my armor). I sent my infantry through the gully on the right, and it got all shot up, the gully didn't provide quite the cover I had expected. I got defeated pretty bad that time out. Second time through I sent two platoons through the wheatfield to deal with the German platoons dug along the road in the depression in the center of the map. The other platoon was sent behind the gully on the right, trying to use the hill as cover. I placed my tanks better in hull down postions agains the german armor, and once again took them out with fewer losses to my T-34's. I pushed the german infantry out of the middle of the map using the remaining tanks and infantry, but my squad flanking around to the right still didn't have enough cover, and broke several times before I got it to where I wanted to go. By then it was too late, and I lost again. Looping around to the left is out of the question since there is a german platoon dug in on the upper left side of the map, and clearing them out would take too much time. Next time through, I am going to send my infantry to deal with the germans in the middle of the map, and use whatever armor I have leftover after the armor duel to mount a fast rush around the right, to try and capture the flag. I wish there was mover cover in that gully, or that there was a few more turns added. Both times I played this I was just able to get a platoon up to try and take the flag, but not before the time gave out (and I was well into the extra turns by then.) -
Provided below is a link to an AAR I wrote for the scenario Directive No. 3. It is played from the side of the allies, and ended in a draw. Full fog of war, with no bonus to axis, and stick to scenario defaults were the parameters. Once again, feel free to comment on the clarity of it, and if you have any tips or suggestion as to future AAR's then please post them. Directive No. 3 AAR

I'm hardly an expert on AT gun emplacement, but I can tell you what I did for this mission. Maybe it will help some. Spoilers below- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I left the KV's where they were (down in that river bed hidden), moved up all my AT guns, Maxims, ATR's, and Tank Hunter teams to those three little patches of trees at the edge of the map, and divided the units and guns up pretty equally between the three spots, and hid them all. Then I waited, and waited, and waited, until the Germans were almost on top of me, then unloaded all at once. I also moved up the KV's. In about 5 minutes, I lost almost all the AT guns, ATR gun squads, and Maxim MG's, but I managed to knock out all but three or four Mk III's. The Tank hunter teams tried to close on the MK III's but got elimanated or routed, but they managed to distract the Mk III's long enough for my KV's and remaining AT gun to finish them off. In the end I think the Germans surrendered. The Tank Hunter teams do have a short range, but if the german tanks are buttoned up and shooting at something else, thier visibility is greatly decreased and it is possible to get in close with the Tank Hunter teams. I got one team in close enough that managed to pop a few molotov cocktails onto an immobilzed Mk III before they got spotted and gunned down. It's totally gamey and cheesy, but it worked, so whatever. But it was also one of the wildest few turns I have seen in CMBB (at least it seemed to me back then). Hope this helps, and if not, I'm sure someone else will come along and post some helpful hints. -
Theres two Berlin Maps at the scenario Depot which you can use for QBs if you like. Berlin-Reichstag, and Berlin-Mitte. I have not used either one though.

Below is a link to an AAR report from the GateKeepers scenario, which I just recently finished. Any feedback about the clarity of the AAR or tips to improve on future ones would be most welcome. Gate Keeper AAR

Thanks for the replies. Grumlin, I do have a love of on board guns but in this case the screenshot was taken from a premade scenario, the gatekeepers.
