Units other than Beglietgrenadiers with a high percentage of StG 44.
Agreed. Volksgrenadiere for example.

Release day.
After that it would be seeing how far I can bend things in the editor.
Bend things in which sense?

What are you looking forward to the most in the new module? Snow? Lend Lease? Partisans? New vehicles?
For me it is:
1. Waffen SS units
2. Snow and Ice
3. Cool and new variants of the Sd Kfz 251 and 234.

Yes I am agree with your comments and I was also surprise to see lot of organisations in the TOE not really useful, but I maintains to have more infos about partisans that can be useful to create ambush untill the Paris liberation...and, who are you old forwards friend to say that I am old, I am just 60+ but this picture of Blücher Marshal was minimum 72 years old when he meet Wellington on the Waterloo battlefield !!
A Prussian never gets old, my friend.

I'm never sure if I understood everything that was written here correctly, but Gebirgsjäger are mentioned in the TOE:
..
German Army Infantry
- Grenadier Battalion 45
- Volksgrenadier Battalion
- Gebirgsjager Battalion
- Grenadier Ersatz Battalion
- Aufklarung Battalion (Gebirgs)
..
German Waffen SS Infantry
- Grenadier Battalion 45
- Grenadier Battalion 44
- Gebirgsjager Battalion
- Grenadier Ersatz Battalion
- Aufklarung Battalion (Gebirgs)
Excellent, thank you for pointing that out. This module is huge indeed.

I will be more interested to see some awaiting guys of the partisans !
Each to his own, old boy. But German mountain units were much more important than naval units for example, so they deserve a place in this module. Not the end of the world, when they're not in, just would like to know.

Yeah, I'm curious about this as well. Also noticed no Gebirgsjaeger units for the Heer. The TO&E looks kind of unfinished for the Soviet formations as well. Glad to see the Soviet Cav uniforms activated in that screenshot!
The answer on the question about the presence of Gebirgsjäger escaped me or wasn't given. Several German Heer mountain divisions were fighting at the Eastern Front in 1944/45. Will they be included in the TOE?

I think this new module will make US an ENORME happiness when the moment will come, regarding the time that we are talking about, including the time that we have to wait... but we are waiting patiently, because we know the quality of this serie of games since longtime ago but we know also that a patch will follow ...
I swear, my friend, you are even better than Eckart Tolle.

Done. For reference - preorder for FIRTV 6/28/19, release 11/30/19 - about 5 months. Patience people...
Really? Well, let's hope it won't be that bad.

I make a pre order because a fear of "a possible out of stock" if I decide to order it later ...
Hell yes, that would be painful!
-
The only reason why I'm happy with pre-ordering (and did pre-order) is that it's a sign that the situation is under control and the game is coming. Less happy with the fact that it can take a couple of months more, but let's not get into that again....

Really trying hard to be positive and patient, but can't we at least have some more information about the coming module? Apparently too early yet to expect a seperate website and Pre-ordering, but perhaps the people who made the scenarios/campaings can share some screenshots? Personally I enjoy screenshots of the fighting much more than screenshots of vehicles (also interesting of course).

Absolutely.....But surely, in that case, just the one thread might work better?
No, a seperate thread for each issue is easier to find and read than a long thread discussing a range of issues.

To be fair, it wouldn't need re-writing any code. Just typing in a different movement speed for the reverse gear.
I think the Sarge is trying to say that even the simplest adjustment can result in serious delay nowadays...

I do wonder how the rear driver would take control - or maybe the system works like in student driver cars, where the instructor can override the student. So, the rear driver would actually have the override control.
I think it was the great Helmut Schmidt who once made a joke about the Italian army when he was told about the high reverse speed of the new German Leopard tank...

The two drivers could also panic and try to drive at the same time? Don't take this question to serieus

Those 234 ACs always seemed to me like the most over designed, expensive things I'd ever seen. I like shooting holes in them. Then they have the correct speed forward & reverse, zero.
Maybe it's an easily fixed patch repair now that someone noticed it.
A man of drastic measures. I like your style.

No, seriously, if it's something you want to be changed, that is precisely what you are asking.....Pixies & Fairies ain't going to make it happen because you guys wish it so!
Let's be honest.....The reversing speed of a particular armoured car, is not exactly the biggest issue with CM as it stands, there are many others.....Which to his credit @Erwin has pointed out.
However.....How many complaints threads do we really need? What do they actually do for the wider community? Can you make an AAR of a complaint?
Why not try using what already we have to make something instead? That way the time until 'Fire & Rubble' might seem to go a bit quicker.
I see your point, but defining justified frustration or justified criticism as malicious complaining also doesn't do any good for the wider community. And yet that's more and more what's happening.

22 minutes ago, Sgt.Squarehead said:
I might well ask you precisely the same question.
Let's put it another way.....Would you like to see 'Fire & Rubble' delayed while the primary programmer re-writes the movement code for one vehicle type (with 4 sub-variants) across several CM titles?
Because that what it sounds like you are asking for.
Of course not. But that's not Erwin's point. He just mentions something he noticed. As a valued and long time member of this forum he's entitled to speak his mind about it.
No need to be hostile about that.
Besides, there's no shortage of excuses for the endless delay of Fire and Rubble. Oeps, there I go again.
