  1. I don't mind Matties.... Its the Bloody French I can't stand.
  2. In Melbourne (Frankston) still haven't recieved my Bundle Pack (CM:BO, CM:BB), also nevr got a reply from checking with BTS making sure they got my order (never recieved a confirming email the first time) yet they debited my Mastercard on the 16th of Sept.
  3. No Bundle Pack in Melbourne yet.... *sigh* On the plus side they did a playerwipe in AC2 and are boosting all new characters to level 20 this weekend.
  4. Still waiting for my package in Melbourne, Australia. I noticed that people in my area are getting CM:BB wondering if the Bundle Pack got sent at the same time as per the webpage.
  5. It was more the case of sharing around what resources they had. The BEF were short of Light ATG's and need something to compliment their 2lb guns. Likewise the ArFr were short of mid sized AA guns and swaped some 40mm Bofors for 25mm cmle which the british also need since they were short if small rapid fire AA. Alot of things had to be shared due mainly to the underequiping of the BEF.
  6. In Melbourne (Frankston), still waiting for my Bundle Pack (hope they sent them out same time as CM:BB single packs)
  7. I'm also in Melbourne, I ordered the Bundle Pack though, but haven't recieved it, maybe tomorrow, then I'll at least have something to do other than laugh at the poor sods still stuck in WW2OL.
  8. 28mm schwere Panzarbuchse 41 (s PzB 41) Penetration at 100m 0deg = 94mm Penetration at 500m 0deg = 66mm Nice little weapon. As to the question of other taper bored ATG's, the Germans also had a 41/30mm Penetration at 100m 0 deg = 120mm Penetration at 500m 0 deg = 87mm As both these weapons relied on Tungsten Cored ammunition they were phased out midway through the war as Tungsten supplies ran out.
  9. The explosive charge of the Sturmtiger rocket shell was 122kg's of 50/50 amatol (Ammonium nitrate + TNT) Thats the same as dropping a 500lb (225kg) GP bomb.
  10. 20 rounds per clip, clips could be changed every 6 secs, total PRACTICAL ROF was 200 per barrel or 800 rpm total for a Flakv 38.
  11. WOW thats quick, I wasn't expecting Aussie deliveries for another few days, wonder if my copy has hit Melbourne yet.... I so need to go home, damn have to wait another 1.5 hours till after work.
  12. Ordered CM:BB and CM:BO bundle, haven't recieved it yet.... then again I am in Australia.
  13. Yep, all three models had 100mm round mantlet armour at its thickest point tapering down towards the edges but as it tapers its angle increases.
  14. Pz M15/42 738(i) = Its an Italian "medium tank". i.e. a sh!tebox. Hell it would've made a good tank in 1940 but by 1942 it was seriously out of date.
  15. There are quite alot for Tanks and a few for Aircraft, after that it gets a bit light, best thing is to start building a library and purchasing some nice hard old fashioned books. On the subject of websites, one of the better tank websites, which even include minor countries is the following. It also includes alot of photos : http://www.wwiivehicles.com Another good resource on gun data is Salt's Snipperts (Also get a hold of any books by Ian Hogg). Salts information can be found under the documents section of the following website : http://www.britwar.co.uk Salts also includes weapon effectivness documents that covers things like "experiments on indirect effects of explosions on human beings", "effect of splinter wounds" "Lethalty of AA fire" "Russian Organisation and Tactics" "influence of ground cover on HE effectiveness" etc etc He also has a good penetration document listing as many sources as he can find and what they rate each weapon at - biggest problem with penetration information is that each country/source has a different interpretation for what 'to penetrate means' with the US being the worst (they would regard any cracking of the armour plate to be considered a penetrating hit) to the Germans that had the highest (70% of hits had to leave a hole in the plate) - hence the reasons why so many different sources quote different penetration ratings - not to meantion often they forget to list what armour they are trying to hit - Face Hardened, Standard Rolled or Cast.
  16. So the Russians get the IS-3 but no Maus for the Germans?

  18. All up there were 4 main 75mm gun lengths used during the war L/24 (Short), L/43 (Long), L/48 (errr Longer), and a L/70 (errrr frikken big) tank destroyer version was also made (Over 1000) Then there were all the other types including Assault Guns & Anti-Aircraft versions and Anti-tank versions in other than 75mm sizes (Like the 88mm Nashorns) [ September 22, 2002, 09:21 PM: Message edited by: Ex-WWIIOL Player ]
  19. The F became the F1 when the F2 was produced. Ausf F1: BW/7. Original order was for 500 to be built by Krupp-Gruson. This was increased when Vomag received an order for 100 and Nibelungenwerke for 25. Before these were all completed the OKH ordered that the rest of the order have 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 installed as soon as possible and a total of 25 were converted to Ausf F2s. Supplementary armor plates abandoned. Improved ball mount for MG. Single door on side was replaced by double door. New sprocket and idler wheels. The vision and pistol ports, driver's visor, hull MG mount, and turret doors were modified because of increased armor. Ausf F2, SdKfz 161/1: BW/7. As Ausf F1 was rolling off production lines, the T-34 was encountered on the Russian front. Hitler ordered the PaK 40 antitank gun fitted into all new PzKw IVs. Ammunition storage was altered to allow for the larger rounds. The gunner's and commander's seat was altered to allow more room. There was an auxiliary hand crank for traverse for the loader. The initial production models had a single-baffle, spherical muzzle brake. Actually its worth noting hardly any F2's went to the eastern front, mostly it was the Aust G's. Ausf G: BW/7, BW/8. Initially 1,750 were ordered, and of those 10 chassis were used for Hummel prototypes and 53 chassis for Brummbär. Dropped vision ports from turret sides. New cupola with thicker armor and single hatch cover. In the summer of 1942 a new muzzle brake with a double baffle and a system to allow transfer of coolant to aid in cold weather starting was installed (Kühlwasser-Austauscher). In January 1943 the driver's scope was eliminated. In 1943 Schürzen we installed to the side of the hull and the turret. Late production Ausf Gs had new drive sprocket and radio antenna was moved to left hull rear. 75 mm gun had double baffle muzzle brake. Starting on June 20, 1942, extra armor was bolted or welded on to approximately 700. 1,275 received the 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43. From late March 1943 the 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/48 was installed. 22. 120 DB Air horn at 3' 130 DB is a Jet Engine taking off at 50'. 140 DB is the pain Threshold and even brief exposure injures unprotected ears. Maximum allowed noise with hearing protection. In otherwords... ouch.
