So then you're saying tomorrow right???
-
I would expect it to be announced via Goodyear blimp, the same as all the previous patches. Keep looking up.
That was a good one...

How can I tell a loaded halftrack to move to point A, and then tell the troops to disembark and do something like move to point B AFTER the halftrack reached point A. Do I have to wait until the halftrack reaches point A to give the orders to the troops?

I don't want to waste anyone's time so should I 'master' CMBN vs the AI before I try playing PBEM vs people?
What's the best way to begin playing vs humans? Blitz ladders? Band of Brother? Something else?

Nothing has made with I spoke Spanish more in my life...

But, during action, enemy units appear and disappear from areas I earlier was told were out of view.
I think these may be 'sound' contacts... Units out of your LOS that you periodically hear moving, shooting, etc... the are transient.
-
Are there 'directions' in the manual I should be following for the tutorial campaign like there is in the CMBN campaigns?
-
Where can I find info on how to install mods? Give me say... 5 mods to install... I don't like to think...
-
There doesn't seem to be a FAQ for this...
I'm installing CMSF and the 3 add on modules. After installing CMSF it appears to be patched to 1.11. Do I think install the add ons and subsequently patch or patch to 1.21 then 1.31 and then install the add ons?
-
I just got CMSF and all the three add on modules after having played CMBN for awhile. As I understand it, it's essentially the same engine just with different units, maps, terrain, etc....
Or will CMSF seem old and long in the tooth by comparison to the brand new CMBN?
Thanks,

Are there patches, mods, campaigns etc that I should be d/l'ing?
Do the mods only affect textures, maps, etc or are there gameplay mods?
-
I wish more shows like this are available on demand... Any suggestions where you can watch some good WWII documentaries on the internet?
-
I had it backed up... on an external drive that died a long time ago...
-
Can I re download it? It looks like the 'store' has been upgraded and my old account is lost...
I just bought CMBN and It's rejuvenated my interest...
Is there some way I can get access to CMSF again? I may very well buy the expansions, but I'm not interested in buying the game again...
Thanks,

Here's my first in a series of - I just bought the game and can't wait for it to finish d/l'ing and get home from work - questions to tide me over....
Obviously depending on the size of the battle, how long do you spend on a scenario? 30 min, an hour, hours, days?
-
Will I be able to install CM:BN on a desktop and laptop using the digital version?
thanks,
Ken

I realize there is endless replayability with the quickbattles and scenario/map editors, but... what comes with it?
I can't seem to find that info on the features page?
Thanks,

Haven't played through a full mission on the demo yet, haven't bought the game even and you want a patch? You have to be kidding, mate.
Yes, in fact I am exactly kidding... thus the smiley...
-
Where is the DEMO manual?? The only manual I have seems to be the one for the full game with DEMO stamped on it... I see no instructions for the DEMO tutorial
-
Ok.. I haven't even played through a full mission in the DEMO yet.. but hey...
-
Is it a follow the pop-ups type tutorial or a read the manual and follow along type tutorial?
If it's the latter, which of the 'tutorials' in the manual is the one in the DEMO?
Thanks,

For a number of reasons my interest in CMSF never compared to that of the WWII centric Combat Mission... First and foremost was the fact that the modern era interested me vastly less than that of WWII and secondly the wondrous customization and quick battles had been redesigned to something I was less thrilled with...
Is Battle for Normandy going to bring back my lost love for Combat Mission? Has all the design and engine bugs been squashed in the prior modern era releases so that BFN is truly the holy grail???
Thanks for your thoughts,

Is there some kind of instructions for the scenario? I've scanned the manual but I don't see anything regarding a tuturial scenario?
Thanks

Grrr.. looks like after 365 days your download expires... I have to 'rebuy' the game for $5....
While it's not a lot of dough, it is pretty pathetic... I download all of my games online precisely so that I don't have to keep a CD around and I can download whenever I want for convenience sake...
This is the first time I've ever seen this 'expiring'....
