  1. Yeah, I agree with above poster. A 2 that will more than likely become a 1 real soon....great game!!
  2. Very, very interesting thread....I, for one, am learning alot I didnt know. Wish I could contribute but I know little about todays modern army. This is one way to learn and one of the reasons I visit this forum....looking forward to the game and more informative posts from you guys.
  3. Madmatt, Picked up 'Thunder Run' on your recommendation and I was unable to put it down! What a great (and exciting) read. From the very first page kept me glued to my chair. Well written and really put you there at the front. Anyway, thanks for steering me to this fine book! I highly recommended this book to all.
  4. Yessss!! New Patch has all colors back to normal!! Thanks again Hubert....
  5. Well thank you for being so quick and responsive to the problem I am having. Hopefully this will help others also. First class service for a first class game!!
  6. Hubert, I tried ALL compatibility modes with no luck however, the bitmap folder you sent worked (somewhat) as the map backgrounds are now the right color when it is not winter (the flag boxes are still pink) When there is snow then all the units are in a pink box along with the flags which are in a pink box at all times no matter what the season, Better than it was but still weired looking....hope that can be fixed. Thanks for all your help
  7. Yes I have the same e-mail and I will try the other modes and see if they work. I'll get back to you and let you know.
  8. Well I tried Windows 98 compat. mode but alas, still a pink screen. Love the game and play alot but this is a game stopper with this new patch for me. Can you think of anything else to try? Thanks again for the effort Hubert!!
  9. I too have the Pink screen. Running on a P4 3.0 gig. 2gig ram, 7800GS nvidia card. It was fine up until this new patch (1.06). Help would be appreciated!! Oh, and using Windows XP Pro....Thanks [ February 24, 2007, 12:14 PM: Message edited by: RevJack ]
  10. Looking at the new website all I can say is ....WOW!! Nice job Battlefront!! Cant wait for the game.
  11. Hi....after reading Sepp's ramblings over at SimHQ and also his posts here (under his other names), I have to say that I have never read a more vile and hate filled diatribe. I am (mostly) a lurker here at the BF forums as I like to keep up with what is happening in the games that are offered here, but how anyone can take all this as seriously as this nut is truely beyond me....Steve, I feel for you guys having to put up with this kind of stuff, afterall, these games are supposed to be fun as well as this forum....not to brownnose, but my hat is off to you guys that have to moderate this kind of trash. Anyway, just wanted to get this off my chest....and good luck with this nut
  12. and no, not trying to brown nose here but I had problems getting e-mails from Battlefront because of my dsl provider (local phone co) and the admins (Matt and Moon) took it upon themselves to contact me with the info I needed from their personal accounts....gentlemen, where else can one get this type of service from a game company? Thank you battlefront!! With your great games and service you have a customer for life
  13. hehehe....most of the guys that post here are way to clever for an old guy like me to tangle with. I rarely post here but lurk 99.9% of the time and enjoy the flames but like the informative stuff alot more.... RevJack
  14. Pre-ordered the game but I have a slow dail-up so I dont want to waste time trying to download the demo. Besides, I kind of like the anticipation of waiting for my copy of CMAK... Anyway, just wanted to let all of you posters know that I am enjoying the wait a little more by reading all the interesting threads that are going on about CMAK esp. some of the aar's (thanks Shep and MD for a great idea) and the post on green troop penaltys have been very informative as have the posts on the tank differances....anyway thanks for making the wait for the game a lot more bearable RevJack
  15. Got this months PC Gamer today and in the yearly awards CMBB wins the best turned- based Strategy Game of the Year for 2002. Well deserved!

  17. Just had to come on and say what great games and forum that BFC has. CMBB and CMBO are two fantastic games and this forum has some of the most dedicated, generous and helpful folks on it. I have learned so much about this game from all the posts I have read here (still not very good at the game hehe) I just had to come on and thank you all....BFC and this community for being here. I have had dealings with other software companys but never ones that are so quick to help the consumer as BFC. I am a life long customer and mostly lurker on this site. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL! Look forward to many years of games from this fine company. Also, thank you to all the modders out there. Great work that is very much appreciated.
  18. Very nice AAR Ron....it was interesting reading RevJack
  19. Agree with all the other posts....and BFC, you have a lifelong customer with products and service like this.....Thanks and Happy Holidays
  20. I agree....its helped me, I just got the bundle a couple of weeks ago , so I'm still a Newbie.....but I think it has accelerated the learning process in my case RevJack
  21. Got the bundle about 2 weeks ago and I have found that I like aspects of both games. CMBO plays just as well as CMBB to me and I am having a blast with both.
