  1. ...sigh... Faithful squire Nidan1. I had thought that you'd come so far, but now I see that I was mistaken. What you're feeling now is just so, so...horribly wrong. It smacks of a Frenchman's love for Jerry Lewis and as we all know, this kind of love is evil and dirty and robs the universe of all hope and joy. Watch carefully where you step or you could be labeled as an "Aussie FanBoy" and that's something that no one wants. I was serious about petitioning for your knighthood, but now I'm just frightened and confused. </font>
  2. sorry,me work now at see? must make money to feed family can never sure what time Australia is or maybe you sleep never? (this is fun) send many kisses now, but turn no tonite meybe, im sure, trenches make me sad toodles for now.
  3. Proclamation: I want to state now in this Cesspool , in front of all of you {insert insulting discription here}...that Aussie Jeff is probably the funniest bastard that I have ever come across in my sojourn through this veil. I am not sure whether his comic abilities stem from a natural talent for humor or from a drunken dementia.... I don't feckken' care! he is thoroughly entertaining..... and gamey as well (in a road kill sense). AJ if you ever have the chance to visit the States mate, mi casa en su casa , I'd love to throw a few back with you. (serious). P.S. Don't bring Noba with you if you decide to come.
  4. 1) i will lose.its a old think and i don't like it myself 2)just try to warm up post a little (in sense of Band of Lovers).but i can loose this too 3)can't do it i like too spending holidays in prussia konrad </font>
  5. Because, my Liege, of some Polish fluffy (or someone posing as a Polish fluffy), batting his eyes, and posting in monosyllabic gibberish. I guess all of the others found it an amusing diversion.
  6. send me a setup fruad kisses konrad PS: almost forget, yes , we can kiss after </font>
  7. I think this lenakonrad person is a phake,phoney,phraud..... notice how his posts go from quite unintelligible to almost lucid, the more he posts. Methinks his attempt at pidgeon English is an affect.
  8. This sounds like a case of sour grapes, coming from a tactically challenged twit whose mighty 6TH Army ubergrenadiers are being sucked into a quagmire city fight on the banks of the Volga. It must be really uncomfortable to watch your elite squads being chewed into hamster pellets by my glorious Red Army soldiers. I find it quite satisfying, hurry and send me the next turn.
  9. Boo sorry to hear about the loss of your companion. I look at my dog sometimes and realize that he's not going to be around forever either, and when he's gone, no one will be standing at the top of the stairs to greet me when I get home from work every night. My thoughts are with you.
  10. No mention of the brave explorers who lost their lives in the pursuit of understanding. The space program will continue, and perhaps will influence how we live together on earth. Some day we will all live together in peace. A dream, maybe, but it is worth striving for.
  11. I have been sending you EMails, and have been ongoing with the others, is there something wrong with your EMAIL? I got your EMAIL tonight, I resent the last turn. Did you get it?
  12. Seanachai You have been rather terse lately, I miss the hyperbole...the onomatopea, the clever crafting of alegory and metaphor. Where is the old wind bag we all know and love? Is this your new Gaylord Focker personna? Have pity man....one of those is enough....oh I guess there is AJ as well, but he is truly humourous. (notice the "ou")
  13. Nice to see you're finally learning something in nursery school. But you had to edit even that? Now, turn off Sesame Street...</font>
  14. I think that maybe the total ammunition for all machine guns on a tank is effected, regardless of which one is firing. I am not sure if the game engine keeps track of the ammo of each MG separately on a tank.
  15. I am really not sure whether the CM engine makes the distinction between a "hasty" minefield, one that is laid quickly to block movement or channel an attacker, or a "prepared" minefield. A prepared field would consist of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines in conjunction with a coordinated defensive position. These mines would usually be buried and possibly boobytrapped as well, and obviously covered by fire. A hasty minefield might just consist of mines scattered on the surface of a road or likely approach area, and not buried or otherwise concealed. Does anyone know if CM does make this distinction?
  16. What could one expect from a man who comes from a land where they have animals that are half duck and half beaver? All of the Creators left over parts were strewn about the world and mostly settled in Austrailia. The Aboriginies ruled quite peacefully for many years, until the Limeys (in their infinite wisdom and arrogance), decided to dump all of their problems on that poor continent. After many generations of the cohabitation of English felons and weird animals we are presented with Flamin' Aussie Jeff. A testament to Darwin's theories of natural selection. Edited to add: The Irealeans must be right, we all must be the product of alien experimentation, or God is truly a stand up comic. [ January 31, 2003, 07:09 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  17. Hortlund is a lawyer, they are universally despised, regardless of national origin.
  18. Excellent post, and the research you have done seems to have provided most of the answers to your initial question. You can probably sum it all up the way you aptly did, early T-34s were outmanuevered, out-classed and mostly abandoned by their inexperienced crews. Any weapons system no matter how good it looks on paper, still has growing pains, and has to be operated by competent and brave human beings.
  19. If any of you saw President Bush's speech the other night, he talked about Hydrogen powered cars. Interesting concept, I wonder who will build them? With all the hot air wafting out of Washington lately, maybe we should build engines that run on that.
