...sigh... Faithful squire Nidan1. I had thought that you'd come so far, but now I see that I was mistaken. What you're feeling now is just so, so...horribly wrong. It smacks of a Frenchman's love for Jerry Lewis and as we all know, this kind of love is evil and dirty and robs the universe of all hope and joy. Watch carefully where you step or you could be labeled as an "Aussie FanBoy" and that's something that no one wants. I was serious about petitioning for your knighthood, but now I'm just frightened and confused. </font>

Proclamation: I want to state now in this Cesspool , in front of all of you {insert insulting discription here}...that Aussie Jeff is probably the funniest bastard that I have ever come across in my sojourn through this veil. I am not sure whether his comic abilities stem from a natural talent for humor or from a drunken dementia.... I don't feckken' care! he is thoroughly entertaining..... and gamey as well (in a road kill sense). AJ if you ever have the chance to visit the States mate, mi casa en su casa , I'd love to throw a few back with you. (serious). P.S. Don't bring Noba with you if you decide to come.

This sounds like a case of sour grapes, coming from a tactically challenged twit whose mighty 6TH Army ubergrenadiers are being sucked into a quagmire city fight on the banks of the Volga. It must be really uncomfortable to watch your elite squads being chewed into hamster pellets by my glorious Red Army soldiers. I find it quite satisfying, hurry and send me the next turn.

I have been sending you EMails, and have been ongoing with the others, is there something wrong with your EMAIL? I got your EMAIL tonight, I resent the last turn. Did you get it? -
Seanachai You have been rather terse lately, I miss the hyperbole...the onomatopea, the clever crafting of alegory and metaphor. Where is the old wind bag we all know and love? Is this your new Gaylord Focker personna? Have pity man....one of those is enough....oh I guess there is AJ as well, but he is truly humourous. (notice the "ou")

Hull MG, blocked or not ?
Nidan1 replied to sambourg2000's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I think that maybe the total ammunition for all machine guns on a tank is effected, regardless of which one is firing. I am not sure if the game engine keeps track of the ammo of each MG separately on a tank. -
Can anyone tell me how can I destroy mines?
Nidan1 replied to fiaros's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I am really not sure whether the CM engine makes the distinction between a "hasty" minefield, one that is laid quickly to block movement or channel an attacker, or a "prepared" minefield. A prepared field would consist of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines in conjunction with a coordinated defensive position. These mines would usually be buried and possibly boobytrapped as well, and obviously covered by fire. A hasty minefield might just consist of mines scattered on the surface of a road or likely approach area, and not buried or otherwise concealed. Does anyone know if CM does make this distinction? -
What could one expect from a man who comes from a land where they have animals that are half duck and half beaver? All of the Creators left over parts were strewn about the world and mostly settled in Austrailia. The Aboriginies ruled quite peacefully for many years, until the Limeys (in their infinite wisdom and arrogance), decided to dump all of their problems on that poor continent. After many generations of the cohabitation of English felons and weird animals we are presented with Flamin' Aussie Jeff. A testament to Darwin's theories of natural selection. Edited to add: The Irealeans must be right, we all must be the product of alien experimentation, or God is truly a stand up comic. [ January 31, 2003, 07:09 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]

Hortlund is a lawyer, they are universally despised, regardless of national origin. -

Excellent post, and the research you have done seems to have provided most of the answers to your initial question. You can probably sum it all up the way you aptly did, early T-34s were outmanuevered, out-classed and mostly abandoned by their inexperienced crews. Any weapons system no matter how good it looks on paper, still has growing pains, and has to be operated by competent and brave human beings.

How Grog are you? German Opel

If any of you saw President Bush's speech the other night, he talked about Hydrogen powered cars. Interesting concept, I wonder who will build them? With all the hot air wafting out of Washington lately, maybe we should build engines that run on that.
