  1. Thats all good and fine when talking about a single tank. Not Always the case in a Western Frotn World War2 Battle to the dismay of the Allies. Were'nt that stats of 5 Shermans to Kill 1 Tiger or something similar? It seems CMBO is modeled more ot the effect of 2 Shermans to kill 1 Tiger. Mabe i'm jumping the gun from alot of talk i heard circualting around the tournament house of how in CMBB the Soviets are going to be favored. Hopefuly my worries go un founded. 2. Stalin was a good guy? Whats next Mao for the Nobel Peace prize?
  3. Then how about one rail gun round per scenario then? How will the Sevastapol scenarios be engadgeable without them? [ July 16, 2002, 04:58 PM: Message edited by: Gaylord Focker ]
  4. Is it me or in each of these pictures, it shows the Axis in a bad spot. Example the burning Panther in CMBO, and the preview i saw at CM outpost of the Red army platton about to off the unsuspecting Axis soldiers heading their way. Whats the deal? hehe.
  5. Will rail guns be modeled in CMBB? Naval Guns are modeled for the ALlies in CMBO, so will the Axis get thier rail guns in some CMBB scenarios?
  6. If Gyros were included for a bonus in CMBO, Will the power steering on Tigers count for anything in CMBB? Should be accounted for in the game in my opinion. [ July 16, 2002, 11:48 AM: Message edited by: Gaylord Focker ]
  7. Is Turret speed on Armor going to be an over empahsised part of battles like it is in CMBO? ANd will the AI turret be as easy ot confuse as it is in CMBO where the M8 is much better then it was in real life when used in confusion tactics?
  8. I would too, hopefuly nothing much happens to a "decent" tank by these weapons. I'm just worried about play balance, and not in the fact of what it seems. I think the scales are tipped un necesarirly in the Allies favor in CMBO because of the way the MG-42 is modeled and the way Bazookas are modeled, and HEAT rounds are generously given out at certain time periods as JasonC has stated. Also the Over all armor quality rule i disagee with. I don't think every single Panther should have defective armor. I hope alot of these traits don't carry over into CMBB [ July 16, 2002, 11:38 AM: Message edited by: Gaylord Focker ]
  9. Alot of talk has circulated about up gunning the MG's and rightfully so, but i come with a question about the bazooka family or weapons. In CMBO they seem to be over modeled, as Jason C stated in a very nice post and i happen to agree with him. Will the Bazooka's and other small anti tank weapons be toned down some?
  10. Relax everyone, the game is going to be out before we know it. It's kind of fun looking forward to it.
  11. Indeed. I see this as a huge problem for platform games. My last platform was the origial NES. I still say it has better game titles then the X-box. [ July 09, 2002, 05:08 PM: Message edited by: Gaylord Focker ]
  12. I like Windows, heck i even wanted to buy an ATI card just cause their kind of the underdog to Nvidia, but opted for Nvidia for obvious reasons. I must admit i am ignorant to the inner workings of OSX, i just like the slick interface. How does it stack up to Windows XP? [ July 09, 2002, 05:04 PM: Message edited by: Gaylord Focker ]
  13. OSX looks like a great operating system. It's a shame more games can't be played on it. I think it's realy cool that BTS made their game compatible. Direct X is good, but you'd think there would be more alternatives. Well i'm stuck with windows until then....
  14. Now that sounds like a great idea. On the scenario note, do you know of any realy good scenarios to play vs. a human player? I'm sure there are a ton, but i've never downloaded anyone scenarios. I've seen plenty to choose from, but was wondering what your favorites might be?
  15. Sorry for being so vague. What i was wondering is that the shot targeting at flak trucks by Armor be changed? As is they are more difficult to knock out by Armor because tanks fire HE rounds rather the AP rounds at them. This cause HE rounds to usualy land infront and under the flak truck, making the truck alot safer compared to a single well placed AP shot.
  16. We all know the deal here, the question is will they be fixed in CMBB?
  17. Will strike squadrons of aircraft be modeled in CMBB? I understand that JU-87's/Me-110's prefered to attack in numbers. As obviously the IL-2 did being most produced aircraft ever. In CMBO i notice only one plane circles above(wich seems to work fine by the way), in CMBB will there be more war birds to shoot flak at? 18. If an enemy mortar team is shot, or retreats from its mortar, will it be possible to use the mortar? Or Anti Tank Gun, or things of this nature? I'm assuming no, but just thought i may as well inquire. Also will there be ammo stores? Say for inststnace a building where a crate of ammo may be stored for reloading purposes?
  19. Partisans were not only a nuisance to the Axis forces, but also to the naitive Soviets who's houses they would frequent. It seems they would come out of the woods and basicly raid a house of everything that felt they needed or wanted. Also, was'nt it the SS's job to eradicate the partisans? One thing i do not think that needs to be modeled is town square butcher scenarios, where you capture as many partisans as possible only to shoot them in front of a crowd later that day. Correct me if i'm wrong but the Partisans were fighting their gurilla war behind the Axis front lines in occupied territory? [ July 30, 2002, 09:28 PM: Message edited by: Gaylord Focker ]
  20. Interseting points put very well. As a side note the Germans did produce a few hundred thousand of the Gewer 43 semi automatic rifles.
  21. I could'nt agree more Andreas, except for one thing about the Germans losing all operations on the western front. They did quite well in their 1940 operations on the western front. Hehe, kidding aside the person your replying to sounds like a "it's a more effective unit if it's wearing cooler cammo" type person. No offense intended, but his bias, though from another angle remains the same, bias. I've learned it can be very diffucult to get points across and learn a few things if one or both parties are carrying a bias in some part of the debate. Let's hope this can remain a civil discusion, it's a shame to see good topics locked down because of the debate spiraling off topic and out of control. 22. SOunds like a great rig. You gotta love surround sound. I highly recomend the 4.1 klipch set. How are the Creative Audigy sound cards? I'm not a huge fan of Creative Labs, but the card recieced excelent reviews, i'm very pleased with my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz though. I can't recomend it enough!
  23. RedWolf, i don't mean to come off as scholary, but SD Ram (single data rate) is alot slower then the DDR Ram (double data rate).
