  1. I could be mistaken but I think the crew at Battlefront don’t work over the weekend, looks that we may have to wait until Monday. Great Mod MP!
  2. MickyD I use a separate HD(E) for all my games as my C Drive is solid state and of only limited size, used for my OS and other system files. Am I correct in thinking that as my mod and scenario list gets larger in my C:/Docs folder, storage on my Corsair 60GB SSD will very quickly shrink? Is there a way to get Battlefront to look into my E drive or will I have to use a Z folder inside my main game? Many thanks for any info you can give me.

  4. I have a quick question for all you WWII historians out there. What NCO rank was carried by an enlisted man in charge of a US infantry Squad in 1944? Pre 1942 I believe a Sgt ran a squad assisted by a Cpl and a S/Sgt was the Platoon Sgt assisting the officer. After 1942 following a reorganisation most NCO ranks were upgraded by one rank, a SSgt now taking over a squad with a Sgt as 2ic.The Platoon Sgt was now a Tech Sgt. I have two slightly changed US rank icons labelled pre and post 1942 but I'm at a loss which one to use. Any help or info will be greatly appreciated. I have posted this query on the Mods forum to take the opportunity to thank the modders for all their hard work and expertise in enhancing my pleasure when playing CMBN.

  6. Aris If you do decide to stop it will be a great shame, you obviously have great artistic skills and many CMBN players will miss your fantastic work. But that said, you have every right to slow down or cease altogether if your motivation is waning and with it your enjoyment. Without exaggeration you have become a bit of a celebrity with a dedicated following of fans, and like fans everywhere we can be selfish at times, always demanding more. Anyway Aris whatever you do will be fine by me and I will like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work which has greatly enhanced my playing of CMBN.

  8. Can one of my American cousins please tell me about the Leader/Call Sign boards or flaps attached to US Shoulder Pockets? There is as far as know no equivalent on UK ACU or MultiCam gear. There is a good example on Angrysons Ranger Mod with the A8IA just below the IR Flag, I’ve no idea what the numerals and letters represent. Thanks for any info or examples you can give.

  15. I’m having problems running the avi files using Windows Media Player 11.0. All I get is sound with no video. Do I require a special codec to enable me to run the files? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  16. I’m one of the lucky ones that can get the game to run although the editor still refuses to do so. The game averaged about 20 fps and therefore was playable. This morning I installed the latest Nvidia patch 158.18 (not beta) and noticed an improvement to the fps, it now averages 30 fps. Nvidia states there are more updates planned to address the many problems players are experiencing. Hopefully TOW will be on the top of there list, my heart goes out to the people that can’t get the game to run at all.
  17. Madmatt I’ve made a few inquiries and discovered that most new computer systems with Vista have DirectX 10 pre-installed. The editor will not run with DirectX 10 and requires the latest DirectX 9 and although one or two people have back installed the older DirectX 9 over 10 I suspect many will be reluctant to do so. Will it be possible to update the Editor so it runs with DirectX 10 and include it in the 1st patch? Plus I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for great support in these trying times of post game release.
  18. Thanks for the info and tips. But to be honest I’m not very keen installing an older version of directX especially since Direct 10 is supposed to be ready for the next generation of games. I’ve got a feeling that all that is missing is an odd local dll and everything will be sorted.
  19. Hi Team I’m running Vista and when I attempt to run the editor I get the DirectX9 problem and asked to install the latest version. The problem is Vista has DirectX 10 installed so I’m in a catch 22 position. Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
