Been a while since I visited the site and/or this forum... Just wondering why there isn't a dedicated forum for CMAK yet... I came back here to find out info the the CMBB Special Edition, and check on the updates and mods for CMBB, but it's flooded with CMAK post. Making the CMBB disappear too quick for anyone to read and answer. Not complaining, just asking when someones going to throw up a new CMAK thread.

I was trying to show a friend the CM series... but he wasn't getting the true effect of this game... with me trying to rush orders to show him some action... just wondering if any of you have made any movies of the CM series action, like using fraps or something? or does anyone know of a link with those there so i can just show him the movie action without explaining the order phase. thx for your time.

Big Time history and war buff, not just games, but books and movies, and actual tactics and strategies... Going to Germany for a vacation, and what I want to see is old battle grounds of historic time... Maybe some of the famous bridges, larger more open tank grounds, and Kall trail type places. Is there any book or guide, that might show me where to go and what to visit... Unfortunity It's just Germany that I'm visiting, not France or Russia, which would probally have some of the best historic places. any advise, recommendations? (sorry, if this don't belong here, but there's no "general" forum.)

Sorry, for the post... it was meant more as a sarcastic complaint on compatablitly... not really a joke, but not as serious as it reads. didn't know "pissed" was a cuss word either, lol, I'll watch myself. I still love battlefront... it was meant jokinly, for my probs. ps, (the purpose I re-responded)... I still can't get CMBO SE and CMBO to PBEM together... Do I understand correctly, that you have to install all the graphic and sound mods yourself for CMBO SE? if that's true... we have to un-zipp and install each mod (which appears to be alot) individually? and 1 final Q: is there a list of what the new missions are in the read me or something? thx for your time.

I know nothing I say will change your mind... but after years of dedication to Battlefront... you really managed to piss me off with the special edition of CMBO... I can't beleave you changed the executable... I was hoping to finally after years of swapping the disk between my laptop and desktop to play your game, that I could buy the SE and use that disk for the desktop, and keep my orginal CMBO in my laptop... but there not capatible with each other... total BULL****! and I hope it's just me with this problem, (and someone can advise me with a solution)... but now the only ones of my multiplayer buddies I can play with is the ones with the SE edition, none of the orginal owners can play against me... what a backstab you did to this customer. very disappointed, exspecially after the great move you did with the strategy guide screw up.

Just wanted to thank both Battlefront and Martin for the news on CMAK. 6 members of our gaming group are serving over in Iraq, I just printed out 6 copies of your press release, and every page and screen from the CMAK web site. (hope that wasn't copy infrigment, lol) We, and the members currently deployed are BIG Combat Mission series fans... and I think when they get this news, info, and screenshots, which I will be sending in care packages next week, they will have just one more of the many other things to come home to. Don't get me wrong, I love Battlefront and the Combat Mission series... it is currently my favorite game, and will pre-order my copy the day I learn of it. but I question the gameplay of going back in time to the first part of WW2. I think gamers would be disappointed playing with older armor units and equipment. Tactics would be more important then in the previous 2 games. because the area was mostly open, ugly terrian... and battles were won with more smarts then latter in WW2 when numbers and power ruled. anyone agree or disagree? just wondering, how going back in time to older armor pieces, and open, boring terrian will be.

ya, screnshots are just like all the others... but seeing last years memories in a video of my gaming group is nice to keep for viewing later in gaming. lol

wasn't thinking when I did it, since my group all uses ace as our extracting tool... but re-uploaded it as is... so just left click to view, or right click to save as for downloading and viewing later.

just wanted to share... OK... trying to use a armor unit, on a hill to provide a smoke screen for my infantry to advance. I order the tank, (clear line of site), he fires one round of smoke then turns back to shooting HE at enemy infantry. Now if it was a enemy tank, understand the prority, but infantry? come on now. How, if, do I make my armor unit fire a volley of smoke in an area? thanks in advance. (probally should of been in hints and tips, oh well.) Go BUCS!

What is a Soviet Infantry Ampulomet? (it appears to be a type of mortar, but why is it white?) Thx in advance...

Whats that command to get a troop/unit to follow a vehicle, and hopefully destroy it. Got a enemy armor unit trying to flank my assualt, he's all alone... but I got a anti tank guy and a sniper covering that flank hidden, I was hopeing to ambush the tank, but he's moving out of range, so I want to get my AT guy to follow him and attack the rear, hopefully before the tank gets to my force.... thx in advance...

OK... excuse me for my ignorance, but I'm STILL trying to get good and understand certain things in this game. In the attached screenshot, my armor unit, (unbuttoned), clearly is overwatching the left side of this battlefield... and clearly even the main gun is overwatching... then why the Hello is the line of site say blocked, and it stays blocked till pretty close to the unit. The screenshot is at level one, and I want the unit to cover the building and treeline, which looks clearly possible... any ideas, tips, comments? Thanks for your time.

Looking for the bmp numbers for the CMBO splash screens... any help? Also, the needed size would be nice. Thx in advance...

yes, a better spell check would of been nice, but think of it this way.... It was only 15 bucks compared to most 20 buck guides, so for a few spelling errors you saved 5 bucks. lol I'm not so hung on the errors, at least I understood it, and still best written guide I've ever purchased.
