You could say that there is only one of two ways a person can go in this world today. Children have been on the battlefield for Ages. Although it was 'rare' that they be targets or engaged the enemy. War, may not be the best way to handle the mid-east problem. German Generals were the better of the bunch. It is not known for certain that Rommel was a member of the plot to kill Hitler. I don’t think he was out to kill Hitler. It is clear to me that Germany had the better Generals of the war. Look at the allies; they incorporated many German Generals into the service after the war. (To learn) Look what they were up against. It was a pretty good try. Pieper; He was seventy eight years old and they tried to take him out! All of the Attackers were found dead in his home. I bet that old bastard took them all out single handed!

If Patton and Rommel were on the same team, and I had my choice to pick who I wanted to be under, It would have to be Rommel. I would not want to be with Blood and guts! Although, If You have to send one of them in to do a job, It would have to be Patton. It was Rommel who lost sight of the Ball. Early in the Africa campaign Rommel stated that Malta must be taken before attacking Alexandria (he went for it anyway). He lost his first assault on Tobruk. Patton sent a raid on a German prison to rescue his son! (got his son back) Patton did not F*ck around! It makes no difference who was a Nazi! Everybody in Germany during WWII was a Nazi!!! You would be too if you lived there.

Do you think; If the Germans would of destroyed France on there way out, would that of been a war crime? Some of the Generals disobeyed orders, knowing they would have to live with the French after the war. (rules) What do you think the crew of the enola gay thought after they had dropped the bomb? From my understanding some of them could not live with it. The Second Bomb Might of been a crime. I think the US reacted too fast, The first bomb blew out all communication to the rest of the world, they could not get on the phone and say, "hey that really F*cked us up man". If somebody comes to you and throws the gauntlet? then "rules" apply. If somebody comes from the back and stabs you? They are going to get a worse lick en! Rules = Honor. We threw the gauntlet on Japan to remind them to fight honorably (Or have your Sh*t together)! Every solder has orders and obey the rules, rules of war would be just like any other rule. You can read about the bombing of Dresden and realize that it was a slaughter! Why sink to Germany's level. The a-bomb was more of a experimental thing, new weapon and all. Who better to try it on then the enemy who stabbed us in the back! Some one had to see what it could do, better us then anyone else. Everybody was trying to get there hand on the a-bomb! it was going to be used. It would be murder to use it again. I think it made a believer out of Japan? I think it might of been the only thing that could make a believer out of them? Although I am truly sorry it had to come to that.

Patton vs Rommel, Who do you think the people loved? Rommel was loved by his men, and enemies. I believe his men would of followed him anywhere. The key to figuring out who might be the better General would be looking at how "their" men thought of them. You cant beat love! (Just my opinion) Furthermore, Dresden was a crime! We talk about how evil Hitler was for bringing the war to the civilians (bombing of UK cities) and then we turn around and do the same thing. Nagasaki and Hiroshima was not a crime. It is just Ironic! The materials used to make the "bomb" was the same materials that Germany was sending over to Japan to use against us! So we used their own weapon against them! :eek:

Once Soddball entered into the picture this began to be a continuation of a argument from long ago that me and others had in the General forum. It Had to do with Germany being given certain advantages in WWII games. Some believed that due to this (Uber German) it created Kraut lovers and was a major flaw in game design. It is thought that we now know everything about WWII. So taking that into consideration they should be able to create a game that would not give Germans a great advantage. Being that we now know everything about the men, units and economy of WWII we should be able to rid German advantage in Games knowing now that they really had none. It is all black and white. I say Horse Hockey! It is not as cut and dry as you might want to believe! There are factors that you can not understand! The German economy is a major one. You see it all in black and white, you think you understand it but you can not!

The world is changing. Views, Ideas and beliefs are not the same as they were yesterday. Who else but America could win the war? Russia payed a heavy price for there disbelief. Russia was spared total annihilation due to their alliance with America. The only reason why I brought God into this was to explain my understanding of why I think Germany could of beat the Allies in WWII. Yes, God probably had something to do with making Hitler irrational. It seems to me if Hitler had not been a self-righteous egotistical madman Germany might have won the war. The cries and prayers of the oppressed might of reached their limit. only then might God intervene? That is when the Good ole USA came into the picture! I am not a religious person. That is just the way I read it. Documentaries Books interviews, all of them make reference to God. The God factor! Give thanks to him and him alone.
