M15/42 and P26/40 apparently were too late to see any service in Italian army. But I have photo of M15/42 in ruins of Budapest (!), standing next to a Matilda (!!!). It seems that they were issued to SS units. I think M11/40 can be easily added to Aus TOE in a patch - BTS please fix or somefink !

After seeing the (great) unit av. chart I have questions regarding a few units: Italian tanks in Allied use - I believe Aussies used to have around 30 M11/40s at one point. These had a kangaroo painted on the side. Are/will these be icluded in CMAK ?? P26/40 - the Italian heavy tank with 75mm gun. I doubt any made it into Italian service, but there are lots of photos of these in German service. I read that many were used in southern Slovenia for anti-partisan duties. Semoventes - Germans took over production lines from italians and continued to make more of these adter 9/43. Including a variant with 75mm PaK (Semovente 75/46) Also, are any RSI units included ?

IIRC in CMBB the caliber of German rockets is calculated differently from usual values, hance the 158mm and 337mm rockets...

Well, actually I'm Polish, but as old saying goes: "Polak Madziar dwa bratanki i do szabli i do szklanki !" (Pole and Magyar are two nephews, both with sabre and with glass !) And so Hungary in ww2 is my little hobby

Some more info: Nimrod certianly had more AP ammo, it was meant to be tank-destroyer !! I have info that it had Tungsten ammo (?/) as well was able to fire SteilGranate (as per 37mm Pak). Some links on 2nd Army Hung. Tank Specs 2nd Army Data

Hi guys, Being veteran SP player I noticed two things that couls be IMO added to the OOBs: 1. From 1944+ Soviets used captured PzF and PzS against German tanks. Maybe Soviet tank hunter teams could be equipped with these weapons ?? 2. Germans made great use of captured Soviet arty - 76mm and 122mm spotters could be added to German OOB 3. I see that Pz 15/42 (i) was included, but the PSW 178(f) (French Panhard AC in German service - some 130 were used) was left out... 4. German Units also used Czech MGs (mostly in SS units) and Luftwaffe Field units used MG15/17 (converted aircraft MGs) 5. Since we have to live without T-28 (boo) maybe KW and ISU could be included in Finn OOB ? I know that there were only two of each type, but they were used VERY intensivley in Summer 1944 battles. 6. OI ! We have atrracted the attention of Powers That Be !! Tremble !! We're not worthy, we're not worthy etc Seriously: Arrowcross - after Germans took over Hungary many new ad hoc units were rushed to front, including Arrowcross, Hungarian SS (Waffen-SS Regiment "Ney"), auxilla units (military police, security etc.). In general these units used the German principle of using auto weapons to compensate for lack of training with rifles/MGs. Weapons used were often captured Soviet/Jugoslav SMGs, German MP's and mandatory PzFausts and Molotovs. SMGs - yes the 1/platoon ratio was on paper, most likley more weapons were "acquired" along the way. LMGs - Honved made great use of Jugoslavian LMGs, esp in Pioneer and Cavalry units. Toldi - I have info that surviving Toldi tanks had skirts attached in 1944 (not that it made much difference...) After reading two excellent books on Hungary in ww2 - "Don 1942-1943" by P.Szabo and "Budapest 1944-1945" by M. Sowa I have found more additions to Hungarian OOB: I) 1942-1943 period: 1. 2nd Army (1942-1943) used following AT-guns: 37mm Bofors 37mm PaK 47mm Belgian 50mm PaK 75mm PaK 97/39 (most) 75mm PaK 40 (few) 2. SMGs were far less common - one-two per platoon usually, exc. for recon units (one per squad) 3. Russian captured weapons were widely used (i suggest Russian SMGs, Maxims, 45mm and 76mm guns) 4. Hungarians used sometimes the 80mm Bofors Heavy AA gun in direct-fire role. II. 1944-1945 Period 1. Hungarians did use Panzerfausts, certainly during the siege of Budapest 2. As mentioned above, Zrinyi had AP/HEAT shells and was quite succesfull against Soviet tanks. 3. There are no Arrowcross (Hungarian fascists) formations in the game.

Also, if you need any help with units (like hey, what's a PzKpfw M15/42 738(i) anyway ??) feel free to asko, most folks around here have military encyclopedias inside of their brains...

Crunch time - I'm dying (almost literally) to get the game, but being outside of CDVland (Poland), AND having no Visa card makes me a loser in this situation. Yep, it's last one in M39/M40/M41 series. Piece of crap, anyway. But makes DFDR II far more possible PS. I wonder why other, ahem, "liberated" Italian stuff wasn't included ?? Say Semoventes or the P26/40 ("Italian Sherman")

Solution for Landsverk Anti - use Hungarian Nimrod, it's (almost) the same vehicle. I'll try to make a Finn mod for Nimrod (I have a great book on Axis Minor AFVs and some great drawings of winterized Antis). That's when (if) I get my hands on the game 'cause living in Poland is like living in Tanzania whrn it comes to software As for StuG, BTS please fix or do somefink !!!

One of the JSU's was lost three days afer it's capture. The other fought with great success against advancing Soviets. The solitary T-50 was recon tank for the unit. It's also in that Finn museum.

The KW's and ISU were captured during the Continuation War (1941-1944). Al KW's, ISU's, T-34's and T-28's served in one unit called Raskas Psv Pat. (Russian Tank Unit).

I just saw vehicle list for Axis a few topics below and I see that some Finn tanks are not included... Apart from T-28 (which we have to live without, IMO T-34 M40 is close proxy since it has same gun and similoar armour), Finns had two KW's, two ISU-152 and one T-50. Also, the Panzer IV H (Panssar IV) arrived too late to fight against the Soviet - ironically enough they were used in Lapland War against Germans in late 1944...

This was Hungarian tank, actually. Honved has a few (3-5) Tigers and same number of Panthers. Tiger in Hungarian service was called Tigris.

My money is that it's 12.8cm Pak 44 - Jagdtiger's gun in towed version. Some "last chance" 1945 divisions had them. Absolute overkill
