  1. Good to see some more CMBO scenarios. Can I have a copy of the pack as well (email address in profile). Thanks,
  2. Nice to know that I'm not going insane!(?) Ace Pilot - The Boresight rule came flooding back to me also, I had positioned one Tiger so that it LOS to both bridges before I realised that Boresighting didn't exist in this game! The other rule that you referred to was 'intensive fire' - trade off between an extra shot and breaking you gun (in SL at least, different in ASL). Memories .... Jeff.
  3. Being a former ASLer(?), this was one that I was looking out for. I downloaded it two nights ago and gave it a quick run (against the AI, me as the germans) but after 11 turns the russians still hadn't shown up! I was contemplating a grand charge across the board when I received a 'better offer' and went to pub instead. I can't imagine what (if anything) I was doing wrong - any suggestions? Jeff.
  4. From memory (and originally from Michael Reynolds book). KG Peiper: 1st SS Panzer Regt: 4 Panther companys/4 PzIV companys = 75/80 AFVs. 1 Panzer Pioneer (Engineer) Company (Halftracks). 1 AA Platoon (Wirbelwind(?) or AA Halftracks). 3rd (Armd) Panzergrendier Battalion (Armd Halftracks). 13th Inf Gun Company - 150mm Bisons (5 or 6) 501 SS Heavy Tank Battalion - Tiger II (Probably about 30). 84 Flak battalion - Approx 20 Halftrack or Truck mounted light (20/37mm) Flak guns. Other elements joined up once Peiper reach the Stoumont/Stavelot areas. E.g. Knittel's Recon KG and additional infantry (on foot) from KG Hansen. I think that's roughly right.
  5. IMO ... ASL Scenario 6 Red Packets - Is interesting, unusual early war armour? ASL Scenario 8 The Fugitives - Great Scenario, when played as the germans - the break for freedom! BUT I'd go for Hill 621 - the SL/ASL divide doesn't really affect the feel of it, again probably better when played as the germans. Paw of the Tiger is nice for armour freaks - although the ASL version is more accurate in using Pz IIIMs for support instead of the Pz IV(F/G/H) used in the original COI version. Weapon failure in either of the Tigers can affect the outcome to greatly to my mind
  6. I believe that the Panther in question was built after the war ended - in the MAN factory by german workers under british supervision. It was one of several to be completed for trials purposes. This has led to much confusion as to what a 'standard' late production Panther should actually look like. For more info, take a look at the armour modelling forums on www.missing-lynx.com
  7. I guess that my main point was that when buying CMBO I did it all from the Battlefront website, it duly arrived and I was happy - (I had previously regularily got ASL stuff direct from the U.S. so was used to the process/wait). Now for CMBB we instead get directed to 3rd party website that is, at best a little vague about the details - I'd just prefer to deal direct with Battlefront if possible.
  8. The CDV site doesn't look to promising to me, It has a preview and that's about it. No date or price as yet?
