"Panzer Aces" By Frank Kurowski Just got through reading it , again , from what I gleaned from this fine book seems the KV-1 was REAL ! hard to kill. So why is it only takes a panzer III (50 MM gun) 3 or 4 hits from 800 meters to take one out in the demo. True the panzer crew were Vets and the KVs crew were Green , but does this make that much of a difference. maybe I was lucky all 5 times... bnickb

Agua Are you sure you were playing the tutorial mission from the Axis side ? Is there that much of a change in the AI from system to system, or did everybody else out there find the Ruskys so easy to beat. bnickb the lame gamer

I didn't say I won right off the bat ,I think it was the 3rd or 4th try with this set up. And yes I had a problem with amo running out. as soon as I knocked out the t 34"s I shifted both at guns just to the other side of the flag and used them as much as pos and tryed to keep the rest of the troops from firing unless it was reeeealy needed, they mosty lobed grenades. And my hat is of to anyone that can play the axis side on the mission and win just as it is set up......... bnickb

I thought someone might want to play the tutorial mission with a little more balance. (I know most old timer have this one figured out) You can get this set up by selecting + 25% Axis in the play balance section (at the "choose side" screen) about 1 out of 3 times you will get one extra AT gun.... And yes I was able to win with the axis side after a few trys with just One more AT gun... bnickb

Thank one and all for these posts....... after the first few times I played this Demo , I was thinking How did the Germans Loose ? but after reading this thread I was able to MAKE the ruskys do some damage. Great Game BnickB

speaking of MAC programs I hope the new game will not have this same lame “movie” intro . As I run a PC (as most of us do) it is hard to understand why they would choose to start the game with a APPLE program. It gives me trouble every time I have to reinstall this other wise great game......... I have just renamed the Quicktime demo MOV file to 1000.MOV and copy it to the MOV folder in the game file to make it easier for re installs. I can see the reason for having a mac version of this game , but PLEASE don’t make us PC’ers suffer through the lame Quiktime Movie on CMBB Please Nick
