  1. Yup, preordered CMRT. And after all the guff I gave Steve about the way CMBN ordering was setup...lol. But ya got 55 of my smackers and Im looking forward to this baby!
  2. Look at your store! The CMBN and CW bundle is $55. The MG and 2.0 bundle is $40. However, if I purchase CMBN and 2.0 each alone, that comes to $45, which is what you said because I just bought the upgraded version of CMBN; 2.0. Then, later on when I can afford it, I buy the two modules singly as you presently have them, they come to another $70, hence, $115! This is what I am trying to tell you guys. If you have bundles now that presently are a total of $95, why cant I get the bundles I need for $95 also? Now the second point Ive been trying to make is the same reasoning YOU guys used for your present bundles pricing. If you can take some $25 off your CMBN and CW bundle, couldn't you take a similar percentage off a bundle of MG and CW that I can use? And concerning the pricing standpoint, if I buy CMBN and CW bundle, it is version 1.0. I cannot play the game then with my buddy who just purchased everything. I would have to wait until I could afford to get the MG and 2.0 bundle. Get it? What I am trying to say is, I cant play the game with my pal the way it is presently bundled until I afford to buy the whole ball of wax. I would like to have a CMBN and 2.0 bundle. Try and look at this from my standpoint. Does anyone else understand what I am trying to say?
  3. Ok, first off, thank you for the replies. Its nice to know you guys are watching the forums. What I am simply trying to say is that I do not want v.1. That is the bundle offered with CW. If I want V.2, I will have to either buy 2.0 upgrade separately with CMBN or buy the whole tamale, modules and all, the way you guys presently have it setup. Now, while I would love to have the whole tamale, I just cant afford it now. I do plan on eventually getting it but not now. What I was hoping for from you guys, is a bundle with CMBN AND 2.0 together. Then I don't have the added immediate expense of the two modules right away. Sure, I can buy CMBN for $35 and the 2.0 upgrade for $10 for a total of $45. But then the two modules separately, since they are not bundled, would be an additional $70. My total cost then is $115! Sure, that may be cheaper than when the game first came out, but it isn't the $90 total costs for the present bundles you DO offer now. I would like to be able to buy the game and its modules for the cost you are offering it at, ie; $90. But I cannot buy it all at once with the options available to me at this time in the store. I am simply saying it would be nice if you could simply offer the $90 total price in bundles that I can use.
  4. EXACTLY! I don't want 1.0 and I wont buy it. I wouldn't be able to play the game with most people. My pal who I game with can buy 2.0 as he can afford the outlay. I can not. I also want the features that 2.0 brings. Yet you are FORCING me to choose between buying 1.0 or buying ALL of 2.0. What kind of choice is that? If I can at least purchase CMBN and 2.0 at the bundle price, I can then play him. I'll get the modules later when I can afford them. How many others out there are in similar situation? You are freezing out part of your market.
  5. Of course, if you offer CMBN upgraded to 2.0 without having to buy the 2.0 patch, there's half the battle.
  6. I don't see that the present options allow me the flexibility I wish. I am essentially forced to purchase only what you choose. Its obviously set up that way for marketing reasons, not customer satisfaction. Yes, your bundles do save us some money and that is appreciated. But the initial outlay is what is causing me pause. I would simply like to be able to buy and play the base game upgraded to 2.0 with a friend without paying the higher costs of separate purchases because it isn't one of your presently offered bundles. At present, to be able to play a game with my friend, I essentially have to purchase all 4 parts; I cant afford that now. Heck, I haven't been able to afford it since this game came out, that's why I haven't purchased it yet. How much more difficult would it be REALLY to simply make a option for CMBN and 2.0? Then the two modules? What is there to test? And have it still cost the same as the present bundles. You'll still make your money eventually. I'll be able to play the game now and not at some point when I can lay out $90. I can guarantee I wont pay more than that. As proof, I haven't bought the game yet. Doesn't BF understand where Im coming from? As much as it hurts, Im willing to shell out the $90 eventually. But I cant afford it all at once. Heck, if you offer these bundles I suggest and someone just buys the base game and 2.0. you still have made more than the nothing youll get from someone who cant afford the whole tamale.
  7. And a CW and MG bundle? Something that works out to the same $90 for the other bundles for CMBN. I for one would appreciate it. It would allow me to purchase the base game and 2.0 update initially, then the modules later when I can afford it and not pay more.
  8. Ditto. But I have heard devs complain they don't want to do water and amphibs or something of the sort.
  9. If they can bundle MG and 2.0, CMN and CW, why not MG and CW? It certainly would give people a little more flexability in purchases. While we are on the topic of bundles, why haven't you guys come up with an entire CMN bundle; all the modules with the game? That would be nice too.
  10. Any chance of a Market Garden and commonwealth bundle? I cant afford $90 for everything right now. So thought I would get Normandy and 2.0 upgrade. That leaves the two modules for later. But I'll wind up paying out over $115 if there is no bundle deal.
  11. ...coupons for Normandy? They ask you if you have a coupon code at checkout. Ive never seen one for any of the products. I'd love to get this game but it is still too pricey for me. Normandy and commonwealth bundles plus the 2.0 patch mailed will be $75! Of course I can save $10 with the download but I prefer the discs. Any suggestions?
  12. ...for CMBN has went down to $45 dollars!!! Is this a sale or permanent? If a sale, how long will it last? It may have just gotten within my price range...
  13. Anyone know what ever happened to the CM Mod Database? My link for it is dead. Sure had a LOT of good mods there.
  14. Well, I downloaded the patches anew from battlefront and they all worked just fine! CMBB is now patched to 1.03. I am at a loss as to why my old burned copies of the patches dont work. Anyway, I am squared away now. Thank you for your time. pcpilot
  15. Hi, I bought the Vista patches for CMBB and CMAK yesterday. I was able to patch CMAK just fine as it was the latest version of the game. So CMAK does now run under Win7. But CMBB is version 1.0. I suppose I stil have to install the incremental patches to 1.03 then install the 1.04 patch. But Win7 says it is an invalid win32 application when I try to run the 1.01 patch. I have tried to set the patch app to win98 and winxp compatability mode but it doesnt seem to help. Any siggestions? I bought the vista patches so I can run both games on Win7. Thank you for your time.
  16. I feel like such an idiot...I just found out the problem. I indeed un-installed everything and re-installed it. But when I added the patches, I was only adding the 1.06a hotfix and not adding the 1.06 patch itself first. I didnt realize the 1.06 patch had somehow disapeared off my computer. How the hotfix caused these error messages I dont know. But when I re-downloaded the 1.06 patch and installed it, then the hotfix, everything now works. Geeze...all this hassle because I somehow lost the original patch. Thank you for taking the time to reply and sorry for wasting you and Huberts' time...my apologies.
  17. Hubert, thank you for the reply. I replaced the missing bmp file and now Im getting an error message stating..."Localization.txt: Could not find #SETTINGS_MENU_TEXT_3=". What the heck is going on here? The game worked fine for the longest time. Now all of a sudden this shows up. I completely un-installed it, then re-installed and still this message. WIERD!!! My computer Specs are: AMD Phenom II X4 965 ASUS M479XTD EVO 4 X DDR3 1600 RAM Radeon 5670 with 1GB DDR5 I recently added the cpu and RAM, re-installed windowsXP with SP3 so everything is a fresh install. Any suggestions? What is this text associated with?
  18. I try to start SC2/WAW and I get this message..."Could not find Bitmaps/Strength_Values_Sprites.bmp". I assume this is a file that for some unknown reason now isnt where its supposed to be. But I un-licensed both the games and re-installed them and I still get this message. I dont get this message when I start SC2, only WAW. Do I need to do a complete un-install? I just ran the installer from the "Run" command on the desktop for BOTH SC2 and WAW. Wouldnt that have re-installed any missing files?
  19. Well, my wife is letting me get a new quad core cpu for the mobo. I didnt even have to make any promises...hmmm, that makes me nervous... Ahem...anyway, was wondering if I have to un-license my SC2 and CMSF games before I install the cpu, then re-license everything. The motherboard is not changing, but eventually the ram and video card will be up-graded too. Any issues? Thanks...
