Great idea!! Haven't been to Vegas since '88. I think a 4 day 3 night package from here is around $600 cdn, within my meagre vacation budget. I could probably trick the wife into it too as an added bonus. Craig

Forget it, I'm still reading old posts from when I was on holidays. Found the one from Capt. Manieri with same subject line even. Craig (now looking before he leaps)

This was mentioned before (Colin?) and I was wondering if there would be any interest in attending such an event. As I am just a lowly dirt farmer, I have absolutely no experience in setting up such a thing, but would be more than willing to help. There would be be a host of details (and major items) to look into, such as location, time, events, choice of booze, how to sneak Madmatt into Canada if we held it here, etc etc. I realize the travel costs alone could would probably limit the attendence level, and might exclude a lot of enthusiastic CMers. If anyone knows people with, ahem, "connections" in the airlines, it might help. I'll just throw this out here, and see what ideas we can all come up with. Craig c.harvey@sk.sympatico.ca

AH64D, don't worry about it anymore. Anyone who can apologize and take resposibility for their words is a bigger person in my eyes, and I hope others feel the same way. Craig ps.I've found that if you just post worthless off-topic crap you just annoy everyone ...much simpler IMHO hehe.

Tuesday March 7... the day my wife and I started going out (in 1986) Craig (in another friggin blizzard) ps. Ready for a rematch? -
MantaRay, I hope when you cough the next time, your lungs are expelled. Big grin or not, that header is enough to give people a stroke. [This message has been edited by Craig (edited 02-09-2000).]

Maybe the board really is getting stale. Craig (calling from the middle of nowhere)

I want your FEEDBACK! Home Sick and Bored CMHQ request!!!

I'm still waiting to see that picture of you in a dress Craig (happily posting crap again) -
Thanks guys. Excellent article by "Wittman". After I read it, I checked his profile and wondered where he came from, what with that being his first post. All was explained though as I read the whole thread. Mr. Peng, I guarantee that I'll leave at least $500 for you if I am ever in Pennsylvania, as someone would have to pay me more than $50,000 to go there hehe. Heavy, sure I don't get one cool point per day?? Who is keeping track anyways? Goanna, thanks for the support , but I'm more of a rum drinker myself Craig (using color-coded money again)

I leave for two weeks on my only vacation in 8 years (to toasty Palm Springs for the rest of you poor snowbound folks), and I can't believe what happened here. I haven't had time to go through all of the posts yet, but you guys have been having waaay too much fun lately. Some examples: Capt Manieri has a really good idea about autographed manuals Count me in for one too. Capt Manieri is defended by many on this board And people were talking about how the board was degrading. Madmatt missed an update and you guys let him away with it New CMHQ site format is the greatest though. (see two posts below) The forum went down and brought the SuperPoster Fionn back down to our level In my absense I became a yesman/sycophant according to Mr Smith (Do yo think I'm cool Madmatt do you huh do you. And yes Fionn you are right yes yes yes. See Mr Smith was right about me. SS Panzerleader disappeared No new gold demo though (tear rolls down cheek) Ah well, it's great to be back, and as I really have nothing useful to say, I'll probably just start these crappy o/t posts randomly. Craig (believing posting quantity wins over quality) ps. If I missed anything really important please let me know.

Ok, just tried it with TacOps Classic - If I group select all of the units in TF Miz., and select unload from the menu, they will all unload. If I then drag a box around them all (lots of units now) again and select join from the menu, they will all group together like they should, and I end up with about 33 unit icons. To accomplish the same thing now will take quite a while longer, as I have to search through the setup box and shift-click on all units of the same type, and then tell them to join. Like I said, it's not that big of a deal, but it isn't something I would think needed changing. Thanks again Craig ps. I just discovered that if you group select all units and then split them, they will all unload then. [This message has been edited by Craig (edited 01-19-2000).]

I'm sure in the older versions you could select *all* of the units in the setup box, and then unload them. Now nothing happens. Same with the join command - all the units would join with appropriate units, and I could then split them individually as I saw fit. I'll maybe load up an old version just to make sure. Craig

Just fired up v3.0, and I can't group select all the units in the setup box to join or unload anymore. I'm sure I was able to do this in earlier versions, but now it tells me I can't join unlike units, and won't unload anything if a selected unit has no passengers. It's not that big of a deal I guess, but it is going to take a lot longer to set up a large scenario like Nelson if every unit must be selected in turn to unload it. Thanks for any help you can provide. Craig

Wow, I just ordered 2 of Mauldin's books, Up Front and Bill Mauldin's Army: Bill Mauldin's Greatest World War II Cartoons. You guys must have ESP to know when to start this thread. Craig

Heh, our national newsmagazine did a cover story on hotline, and probably did more to help the piracy of software than cd burners. Hell, I even got into it just to see what it was all about. If I can find the time, I'll look into this, and e-mail the correct people if I find anything. Craig (looking to hunt down a few pirates)

Can BTS clear up the definition of Operation
Craig replied to CoolColJ's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Madmatt, any chance we could get a screenshot of setup zones on a map in the middle of an operation? Might be easier to understand just what you guys are talking about. Also, when do we get to see that picture of you in a dress? Craig [This message has been edited by Craig (edited 01-16-2000).] -
Heh, you guys in Australia are waaay ahead of us in Canada. Most of our sub fleet is in the West Edmonton Mall. Here is a link to one of our marvels of national defense. http://www.westedmall.com/attractions/html/deepsea.htm Craig (wishing he lived down under)

33 and still counting, however, if it doesn't warm up here soon (-32 this morn ), I might not make 34. Craig (the only wargamer in Saskatchewan) -
Oh sure, I leave for a day or so and Mr. Cross Dresser abandons the (un?)Holy Church of New Scenarios and is now teasing us in ways never before imagined. Now is the time for an inquisition! We must band together to defend ourselves from more teasing and torment and burn someone (Madmatt??) at the stake. Or we could just sacrifice (or something ) a virgin. Craig (living in a winter wonderland - not) ps. I think the only reason Madmatt was made a tester is because his case of barrel droop may be uncurable, and BTS took pity on him.
