1. Guys, guys, guuys - this is NT the MG thread of Cheery waffle - OK - I mean the title lackes the appropriate words, and it starts with poetry for heaven's sake - it's just a bit of detritus that has exploded out - shrapnel if you will. Much like spillage from the pool, only more immediately deadly and not so smelly.
2. I am a TNT chucker I'm a TNT chuckers son, I'll be chucking TNT until the TNT chucker comes
3. Speaking of cowards - you're hte Germans at Hellfire Pass so what's your excuse for not sending me my turn? Yes I know it's one-sided, yes I know you gave yourself the Germans to give yourself a sure fire chace of a win despite your complete incomptance, but that's no damed excuse for late turns!!

5. Well that was the idea. I placed the mines in order to prevent him from using the only cover on the map. In other words, I thought the mines would deny him the use of the houses as cover, thus making his men easy targets for my mortars, MGs and Rifle peeps.
6. I reckon we should all vote for Kitty - Puss 'n Boots is definitely hte best man from the penguin colony, and makes a nice change to all you larvae too!!

8. Sounds like a load of bollocsks to me - the 3" mortar hasn't been used in the Brit army since the mid 60's and there's no way they'd be shipping 30-40 yr old ammo to a combat unit! The current 81mm mortar is designated as an 81mm mortar (I forget the number) so it's not going to be ammo for that that's been mis-designated.

15. Awe shucks guys...you'll make me blush....or maybe it's the 20 deg C and sunshine and the G&T's..??!! Anyway - I GOT IT!! - I didn't notice whether Axe got his yet or not, but I thought I'd mention his wait anyway and I'm now open for CMAK business. Dave after that glowing write up you wanted a game when we had CMAK so now would be a good time!!
16. Arrrrgggghhhh!!! How dare you confuse "Aussies" with that drug addled, burnt out hospital case living in Beverley Hills. The ignominy!
17. In CM buttoned vehicles take longer to aquire targets - in "real life" you might take a pot shot to try to KO the commander and he's much less likely to spot a MG firing than a main gun, plus he's going to spend seconds getting down and into his fighting positoin - the gunner will be "buttoned" anyway probably if htey're expecting action.
18. SMLE had a 10 round mag, and earlier versions (WW1) had a restraint to allow you to keep them all while loading and firing single shot. I've never seen anyone have trouble with a British bolt action (SMLE, Mk 4) - I've always found it smooth, fast and easy - for a manual bolt. The Moison-Nagant on the other hand I found awkward because the bolt handle is not bent and doesn't come smoothly to hand when searching for it (tried on a 1944 model carbine with a fixed bayonet that shot a 3-4 foot flame out the front when fired because of the short barrel!)
19. Or float, swim, or have the Kiwi's & Poms come get you out of.....
20. Yeah - without it we wouldn't be able to rip aoff all those rich yank tourists who come down here! I'f you're flushed then I suggest you put both hands on top of hte table where everyone can see them, and breath steadily for a few mminutes - you've got the turn - so where the feck is my reply you whinging wannabe??!!
21. Milne Bay - also where the first evidence of atrocities committed by Japanese soldiers on POW's and civilians was discovered.
22. Australia withdrew all its ground troops from Nth Africa due to the much closer and apparently serious threat of Japanese invasion.
