Shatter

I was gonna go pick B-17II up today, but maybe I will wait. What system will the game not play on. Since I bought my new PC and new video card, I have never had a game that would not work. OK I wanna by a game today. Anyone have any suggestion on a good game. I hate to say it but, I need another game. Yes I do not Pbem or Tcp/Ip with alot of you here, but my friends that I do CM with, I am just tired of crushing them. I play with about 5 different guys, and they are newer than I to CM, and offer little challenge. I tried Pbem with some of you, but became a hassel when I would never get a persons next turn. I will not mention any names. Although I have not TCP/IP with anyone here yet.

Hey guys about a week ago, a mod maker said that he chaned the wheat to sand so he could work on the same type scenario. I am not sure or the Thread name. Guess you will have to use the dreaded search.

Shatter again I had a thought, can you add mods to the demo. If so I would send a few to Townsend. Then he could see the difference when playing a game with mods. Townsend if the mods are available for the demo how would you like black Stugs or Stugs or Shermans with foilage. Or faces on you men with scars, or even gauss ramped around a bloody face, or even change your buildings. Actually acouple weeks ago I got it figured out completly. When you adjusted fire did you move the firing line a far distance from where it was originaly targeting. The reason I ask is I notice if you move your line to far, the time resets. Like I said I figured it out a couple weeks ago and a way around this little pisser. Next time you change your targeting line only move it about 20 meters then click your mouse like you are targeting. Now you can move your line again 20 more meters without time delay or reset. Just move targeting line 20 meters or so at a time.

No disrespect but if this is true how come when a squad fires you her several rounds being fired and per shot for sharpshooters you only here one round being fired. Also I read a post of a sharpshooter not firing under 100 meters to show the unseen aspect of a sharpshooter. What the thread said was the sharpshooter will not engage a target under 100 neters to prevent giving his position up. If this is true a sharpshooter is not going to fire burst. This would also give away a position. Now you guys will probably say "You only here one shot from sharpshooters so you know that it is the sharpshooter who is firing"

I just got home an hour ago from the family nw years deal. All ready got a buzz, so the parties tonight are out. Anyways a friend and I just started a TCP/IP game and I the Germans have a company of regular 44 infantry and 6 Shrecks and 2 Sharpshooters and 3 tanks. My friend is new to CM so we auto generated a map(basically created a new mission) and I let him have 700 points more to pick what ever he wanted. The strange thing is I have set up 2 vet Sharpshooters and a regular MG42 on the top floor of a church. I can hear the sharpshooter firing and scoring casualties. I check the sharpshooters stats for casualties, and they both have 4 casualties with only 2 shots fired. How can 1 bullet take out 2 men. I thought well maybe it is possible. So i let another turn go by and again both sharpshooters fired one shot and scored 2 casualties. So here is the tally 6 shots between 2 vet german sharpshooters scores 12 casualties. So I stopped the game to come and post this. Could this be a TCP/IP BUG or just extremely well markmanship???

Here is the deal again BY THE DAMN GAME FOR THE LAST TIME. YES mods are done by us for the most part. Anyone here will help you if you have prolems. To be honest your question are the same over and over. Ya I had alot of questions to, but at least I waited untill I bought the entire game. Don't get me wrong questions are all right, but you have posted should I buy game at least 2 or 3 times now. One thing you said, you had fun playing Demo. If you liked demo you will loved full version. After rereading this it sounds like I am coming across as a jerk. Sorry if you take it this way. Just by the game and ask real questions please.

Shatter here Just got my Voodoo 5500 about a month ago. My 5500 will play CM with all the setting on or off. As for the flickering, I am not really sure. Try contacting support(may take a day or two, they E-mailed back to me the next day). The Fickering sounds like a bad Card to me. I have seen 4 different 5500's (AGP & PCI in friends PC,and have never seen the problem you have. Hope this helps [This message has been edited by Shatter (edited 01-01-2001).]
