I had a series of articles called Combat Mission Boot Camp that covered some of the main topics. The site they were posted on, Combat Missions, is temporarily gone, though. My articles are being revised and will appear again there or elsewhere. I'll make a post here when that happens. Hi, Mom! Doubt it will, based on things BTS has stated in this forum. Apparently so I've been buying games for over twenty years, so I know how to find a bargain. If you check the sales circulars for the megastores like Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City, etc. each week, for instance, a number of major new titles are often available for around $30. You have to get them that particular week, though, or you'll find them reverting to the usual exorbitant prices. And I'm not talking about mail-in rebates, which admittedly are a pain. Similarly, there are online retailers that have good bargains, not to mention auction services like eBay. Jeff, no, like I said, the hot new games can often be had for those prices. In fact, those are often easier to get "on the cheap" due to initial release promotions. The expensive games tend to be the ones that have been out a while but have not yet been reduced it to "budget" status. Terence, you can usually get new high-profile games in the US cheaper than $45. Check for sales at the megastores (Best Buy, CompUSA, etc.--they list their current promotions on their sites), online retailers, eBay, etc. More like the $25-35 range. ------------------ New to Combat Mission? I believe there's a third-party program that lets you string together the movies from PBEM games to make a complete film. I didn't say "gamey," and I'm one of the people who does distinguish between "gamey" and "ahistorical." For the record, the former I dislike, since it smacks of ungentlemanly behavior, while the latter is fine by me as long as both parties discuss the parameters of the match before it starts.
