  1. Please, qithout swastika... especially because during winter '42 was not so easy to find german flags like those... 1st: no more problems with ari-identification (the airplanes were only russian... during that period and near stalingrad ) 2nd: it would have proven a very good target reference point... on the snow. Regards, Francesco
  2. I don't know if this has been discussed eralier, so i ask your pardon since now for this. Anyway, after installin the new patch, I tried to place trenches in roads... I can do this during setup phase, but just after that all my trenches DISAPPEAR... leaving a lot of troops "NAKED" and too exposed... so, is that a thing which happen to you too? Thanks in advance for any reply. Best regards, Francesco
  3. Campaign? yest CC3 has a "campaign"... but do you really think that it is worth of calling it so? Did you notice that the first months of war are condensed into three (3!) maps? Did you notice also how many vehicles and weapons are displayed in CC3 and in CMBB? Did you see how many maps there are in CC3? They may look better, but after a fight or two you knoe them so well that there will be no more fun in playing them!
  4. Would you like to play a game against Italian players?
  5. Well, I started this topic because i wanted just to know what do you think about engine demage during battle... as the case i presented you with that JS2... I think that is a bit frustrating speaking about "what I would like to see" or "is CMBB a good game or not"... start another topic on this way if you like... but I'd like to hear about the case i presented... Byez! Francesco
  6. In my last two PBEM battles (but it was CMBO...) I left my opponent to take freely and safely the flags in the frist turns (1 in one case, 2 in the other game) and then I took them at half-game circa. Which problems do you get precisely? Regards, Francesco
  7. I've just played a QB. Here is a screenshot which made me think about this thing... (sorry for the small pic but I wanted not to make the thread too "heavy"... What happened: a Panzershreck fired at my JS2 with a particular result... Rear Upper Hull Penetration Gen Demaged I thought immediately that I would have to see: Rear Upper Hull Penetration Engine Demaged Immobilized That would have been much more realistic, don't you think? Would this be possible to add in the next patch? Or would it be correct? What do you think? Best regards, Francesco
  8. Example of fire spreading (the only one I've seen 'till now): M3 Stuart hit by 75mm: set on fire in wheat field. 3 turns and the fire spread in the vicinity of the tank, sorrounding it ( 1 more turn and it fried the crew). The ground contitions where DAMP. Best regards, Francesco
  9. Dear Mindfighter, I'd have been glad to accept your help if you wouldn't replied in such way. When you wrote "who did this crap" you mentioned a little hard work of somebody else... I'll correct everything I'll can, but without your help, I'm in contact with another russian. And, please, don't tell us: "have some respect to the Russian history, remove that web page please." YOU should have some respect to OTHER people... especially who tried to work for those who don't have the Great Aknowledgement of Everything... Best regards, Francesco
Ciao! Francesco
  11. Thank you for your historical corretion, Tarqulene! It will be added in the next upgrade. Best regards, Francesco
  12. Thank you very much all! It's been a very long work... especially because of ciryllic words. I hope it will help modders as modelists... Be sure to look forward for improvements and additions! I'm a bit worried about that problem with CMBB textures... could something be done? Maybe with the famous next patch? It would be really great to see russian slogans on vehicles. But also on town walls would be very nice... also german ones, like: "Berlin Bleibt Deutches" (bad spelling, I don't know german ) or somehting like that... but it would be difficult because of the time setting... a similar slogan on a small russian house in '41 would be a bit wrong... And as regarding modeling in general, book www.mezzimilitari.it site! Good work to all modders! Best regards, Francesco
  13. http://www.mezzimilitari.it/storia/russian_slogan.shtml I'ts not the definitive article. Something will be added or corrected. Just take time. Happy modding work all! Best regards, Francesco
  14. Understood, Redwolf. Do you think that this little "conversion" might be introduced with the next patch or will it take an engine re-write?
  15. Hey! What about the "sihluette" value of every vehicle? Does it consider the existance of a larger/smaller turret or not? Did you see how easy is to knok out a JS2 by a front-turret penetration? As it was for PanzerIV in CMBO... Ciao! PS.Audace, arrivato nulla??? Francesco
  16. O tempora! O mores! (per non dir di peggio!)
  17. That Road Block KV2 had only a track damaged and a little gun damage from the 12-men Engineer squad. It was KO by a 88mm battery. With two penetrations from 7 total hits. Best regards, Francesco
  18. I hope this is possible in CMBB... at least as a "dig-in" tank (in CMBO it was posible, right?), maybe also on a paved road (?), as it is here, in Berlin '45:
  19. Hi all! I've played 4 times Zitadelle scenario of the demo... Always as Russians, 1st: Draw (units' original layout) 2nd: Tact. Victory (my layout, not using the new commands) 3rd: Tact. Victory (my layout, using the new commands) 4th: Major Victory (very studied layout) Match-winner of the last one: 45mm gun, 4 tank kills (4 PzIIIs) Most strange thing: 45mm vs PzIV distance: 300m circa projectile: tungsten PzIV shot in the rear upper hull Result: "Ricoched" ? Here is the final result (small, but I didn't wanted to place a 2.2mb image which could cause too "slowerings"): I've noticed that AI played almost always the same match. But in the last one it tried to defeat me taking the last big flag without considering the small on the right... I was luky enought to take out enemy tanks before they could reach the flag... 20. BTS says: "...the customers' best interests - ALL customers ..." First of all I don't want to chriticize marketing choices of Battlefront staff. I'm sure that they work as better as they can for their interest and their customers' ones. But in this case I feel forced to give my little opinion about this statement. Battlefront says that all customers are being protected and equally served by Battlefront. This is true, but this can't be said about what CDV does. I sent them an E-mail receiving a quite swift and kind reply. But this reply didn't satisfied me. CDV says that German version of the game will comne out on 20th Sep. And this is the same day English (USA) verison comes out from Battlefront. The English version by CDV will come out "some weeks later". So, what do you think? Is this right? I think NO. And I think so because I (and every non-german-western-europe inhabitant)'m a customer of the same importance as a rest-of-the-world one is. So, why have I to wait when a german could get his copy before me just because he is german? CDV is german, their CMBB will be sold out FIRST in german. This can easly be understood but it's not right! The only error I think BTS made (if this is an error) is that they didn't asked for a UNIQUE DATE release for ENGLISH version, that should be the most improtant one, because it is the non-localized and we can say the wider-ranged one. Maybe BTS hadn't the possibility of asking somehting like this to CDV, because this CDV doeas what it wants... but a little more attention to non-german-western-europe customers would have been very appreciated... Thank you for this space, when we can express gently and in a construcitve manner our opinions. Best regards all, Francesco (non-german-western-europe-future-CMBB-customer)
  21. Hi all! I've noticed a screenshot which shows a pair of Panthers under the red flag... Now, I'm a modeller and I've read a bit of 2nd World War vehicles. Especially Russians. But I've never read of captured Panthers and I've never seen any photograph of them. Could you give me some reference? Why did Battlefront included such units? I think that even if a couple of german Panthers ran in russian hands, it would be disgrceful to place them in the entire CMBB game... if so even the Maus should have been modeled... or not? And, as far as I know, Germans weren't really fond of leaving their tanks to enemies... they preferred to destroy them themselves... What do you think/know about this subject? Best regards! Francesco
  22. Thank you very much for your help! I'll try a trip in Vienna soon! Best regards all, Francesco
  23. Shatzi! Could you give me some specific reference about where are and how to see those towers in Vienna? Thank you in advance, Francesco
  24. I have never eared of captured Panthers under Russian flag... could someone give me some reference, please? Thanks in advance, Best regards, Francesco
  25. Hi all! Just a simple question (especially for future CMBB modders): Would you like to see on an Internet site an article full of Russian propaganda slogans (those appeared on tanks and vehicles during WW2) - like a catalogue - with their translation? All the slogans would be set as images in .bmp 8 bit format, just 10/20k per each. Modders could take those imagesand modify them to adapt their works in their mods of russian vehicles. Just say that I collected a total of 60 slogans (in cyrillic, with transaltion, obviously) of various types according to all the reference photos I have on my books. Everyone could contribute with other and more slogans (approved historically, or even invented - and this should be the work of russian CMBB fans) and this could make the refrerence guide wider and more useful (even for modelists). Jsut tell me your impressions and comments, ok? Thanks all in advance! Best regards, Francesco Chiementin (Italy)
