Never have figured out what to effectively use it for.

I run MG42's around in them, disembark them ahead of my infantry to cover incase the situation should get hairy.

Oh, how I disagree. A buttoned H-39 can bring hell on earth to stuarts and infantry. It's got enough armour that a MG can't shoot it in half, and it's got a half decent gun. I always have them buttoned, after all, there are only 2 crew members......

I'd at least like to have the option of mixing 3 different experience levels on my QB's--especially regs, vets, and crackheads.

Doesn't setting quality to Random do this?

  4. The three important things when choosing troops, how do you choose between the three. Do you buy 10 veteran PzIV's or 3 Regular King Tigers? Does anyone go for the green stratagy, sending as many troops at the enemy in a massive rush attempting to overrun enemy positions ie: Viet Cong style, or do you let you elite vickers machine guns sit back and kill anything they see? Anyways, enough rambling, and onto the main question. What do you people think is the most important thing when choosing troops, Quality (thick armour, big guns), Quantity (lots of useless whimpy stuff), or quality (elite british airborne)?

  5. I remeber someone e-mailing copies of Nationality flags to people, the package included the REAL Nazi flag (red, with the white circle and swatzika) instead of the German Naval flag. It was done by the same person who did the panzer division flags. I lost my copy after my CM screwed up and i had to re-install, and when I upgraded my computer and lost my e-mail. If some who has it, or the talented person that made them could mail me a copy i would appreciate it.

  6. I agree that there could be more fantacisim levels, but 10 is alot. Maybe, Recruit(-1), Vetran(+1), and lifer, er...expirianced(+2). Because once you combine troop quality with the fantacisim factor, you can get some crazy reactions. For example a Concript troop will panic very quickly in a combat sitiuation, but if the fantacisim for the troops in that battle was +1, then they could all be panicing, but they wouldn't run away. Coolness under fire is a very difficult thing to produce in a game, as different people react differently to different things. In my mind vehicles should be able to panic, I don't see how a Stuart against 10 King Tigers wouldn't panic, I sure as hell would.

They can't embark once the battle starts, but they can be embarked on at Gun tracktor at the beginning, and then disembark somewhere, but it does take them 8 minutes to unlimber

I've done this before, simply drop the terrain level by 1 point, and cover that square with rubble. doesn't look half bad.

  9. Just so you know iMac's are not good computers. They may look good on the..no wait...they don't look good on the outside..anyways, if you want high-quality mac gaming you need a G3 tower or a G4. The guy at the computer store I get my computer stuff at describes them as "beginner computers". They lack many things, espcially in the way of upgrades. You can't have an iMac with a super duper 22" flat panel $6000cdn LCD screen. You'll probably see some "fuzzyness" in the screen due to the lack of Hz in the screen.
