  3. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by *Captain Foobar*: Hey, Navare I wanted to apologize to you, in all seriousness.. I felt like a total schmuck when I drove away and realised that I hadnt chipped in for the tab... But that gives us an excuse to meet up again.. "But Honey, I HAVE to go tonight.. I owe them beer!"<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Don't stress about it too much. Just think of it as the beer I promised you to get people there in the first place.
  4. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by *Captain Foobar*: Personally, I think Shakespeare's is a great idea at any time! It is 5 minutes from my house! I dont care how far you guys have to drive, we're thinking of ME here... ;D<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> And it will be all about me when I collect on that beer you owe me!
  5. It was nice to see that some of you actually exist and are not figments of my imagination, like my wife says yu all are. The best part of the evening had to be when the people at the next table over started giving us sideways glances as we talked about 8" artillery and destroying houses with it. Unfortunatly, it turns out I will not be able to be avalilable on Oct 27 as I planned to be so someone else will have to carry the torch for that one. I will hold you all up to buying me drinks at the next one I can make though. Cheers!
  6. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Gyrene: LOL, Ok, Navare can let you look thru the periscope, and maybe steer the sub. I will try to get a table on the patio look for me there first. I am going to make a CMBO placecard so you can look for that also. Hope to see alot of you there.
  7. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR> What's the easiest way to get there from Newport Beach?[/QB]<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Take the I-5 South. There are specific directions in an earier post.
  8. San Diego CMer's (and those willing to drive to San Diego). Next Saturday, October 13, general get together, for those that can make it, at Shakespeare's. I will get there at 7:00pm and grab a table if you can make it please let me know via email or post here, check my profile for my email address. If you have CMBO on your laptop bring it along. For those of you who need more motivation, the first pitcher of Guiness will be on me. If you cannot make it on the 13th or have so much fun you cannot live without meeting again, there will be another get together on the 27th of October also. Email for directions if you need them.
  9. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Sock Monkey: The 94th Aero Squadron, while nifty, is, I think, primarily a brunch place. I don't recall seeing a bar there, but it's been awhile. I'm preferential to Shakespeare's on Washington -- good beer, nice patio <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> There is a bar in the 94th Aero Squadron but it is a small one. I was also thinking along the lines of Shakespeare's . A much bigger area with tables that can seat more the three people.
  10. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by *Captain Foobar*: Next two weeks are full for me.. We need to elect a grand Pooba to set this up, and make it for a month out, so more people can make it . Lawyer lives too far away, and his bar tab is way too high right now. So who is going to buy all the drinks and organize this thing?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I volunteer to organize this thing, buying drinks well that is another story. Are any of the San Diego people intrested in an inital meeting down here and then plan something in centeral for all the So Cal gamers? Post here or email me and I will start a list.
  11. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by *Captain Foobar*: San Diego here..... We really should do a CM get-together of sorts.... <HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Good idea. Does anyone have next weekend free? Any favorite watering holes?

  13. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Feldgrau: Yes. At least, I'm often accused of being "out there." Oh, yes... I'm also in SoCal - El Cajon, to be exact. Regards, MSP<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I live in the San Diego.
  14. Thanks everyone for all the help and suggestions. Finally, everything is back and working. Once again thanks! Navare
  15. Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I have tried the varios suggestions and drank many Rum and Coke in frustration. At this point going back to Windows 98 looks tempting. I have Windows ME and I am not impressed with it. Navare
  16. I recently instaled a new video card for my computer and when I attempted to run Combat Mission the game locked-ip after the configuration set-up leaving staring at a black screen. The video card is the Elsa, Gladiac 511, based on the NVIDA GeForce 2. It has the latest drivers and my computer has Direct X 8a installed. Any ideas? I need my CMBO fix! Thanks
  17. I was hit by a nasty virus and I had to do a total reintall and in the process I lost email addresses and turns. Could you please resend the last turns you sent to me. Thank you, Navare

  19. I know the feeling. No more carefree summer vacations to waste unfortunately. I think my wife would kill me if I took over our office for a full year. ------------------ Navare "I am determined to prove a villian..."
  20. I played the largest scenario once (and only once) with a friend. It took about five hours to do one complete move (over 5,000 pieces on the board) and about 14 months to finish the game. ------------------ Navare "I am determined to prove a villian..."
  21. I think it was AH's Luftwaffe when I was about seven and soon after that was Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Thinking back on it my uncle must have been desperate for opponents to teach me those. ------------------ Navare "I am determined to prove a villian..."
