  1. 30 second intervals?

    Since when?

I play WEGO exclusively and I run my own version of the blue bar.

I plot my moves, then turn off the sound, point the camera off map and hit go. The computer does it's thing, then I watch the replay. I had to resort to doing this because my old rig couldn't run the Hammertime Scenario with out my tanks jumping around the screen like crickets.

  2. Guess my eSarcasm didn't translate well.

I was aware you were testing.

You know how fidgety we all get when people start mentioning patches.

Have fun testing. I'll get it when I get it.

Cowboys play tonite, so that will keep me busy for awhile.

Wife is due back in town tonite as well, that will give me something to do during half-time I suppose. tongue.gif

  3. I'll try to finish Splinty's obviously interrupted thought.

Splinty said :I was riding around East Baghdad yesterday on our last mission with our replacements. When I got back I natura...
...naturally thought that we needed alleys full of dumpsters. I realize we have trash bins as a flavor object, but we need dumpsters.

Big, heavy, metal green, black, or blue dumpsters.

We could have cats and flies around them at all times and if your squad was near them from noon til 3 PM they would have a 25% chance of performing a random direction evade command.

I am pretty sure that's where he was headed with his comment. :D

  4. Yes, some unfortunate soldiers have been 'squished' by armored ramps.

They teach you that as part of the basic safety points when working in or near AFVs, etc.

On the 113s or 577s, if the latch doesn't close and the cable breaks, that is one big, heavy door!

Of course being around 30-40 year old National Guard vehicles is bad enough.

  5. Mishga: Anything on the Syrians?
I have no idea, it could be out there on the internet somewhere I guess.

That makes me wonder. We have people on this forum from all over the world. Yet I have never heard anyone say they were from Syria or anywhere in the Middle East. No one in Syria downloaded the demo? BFC needs to expand their advertising. :D

If we could get all those young Extremists to play the game and see how a battle would likely go, maybe they would find more worthwhile pursuits?

I would like to see Matt or whomever is in charge of the database run a query on members' location and gives us a by country count.

    US

    England

    France

    Belgium

    Germany

    Scotland

    Norway

    Austria

    Finland

    Aussies

    Kiwis, etc.

Of course, if members do not fill in location there would be a margin of error.

  6. The last dark blue diagonal line is a facing order.

i.e. End movement and pivot to bearing 135

The other blue line on the right looks like a possible 'patrol' command? Back and forth between the two points, Pause, then continue.

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the RTS games that have a patrol area order.

  7. deerslayer, I noticed the same thing.

The savegame says Hammertime_001 or 002 or 003, but when you reload it is _001 from the latest point. It overwrites previous saves.

I have never saved other missions(usually finished them in one sitting).

Is this something in CMSF, or just this scenario?

    Anyone else notice this?

  8. I'm with Lurker.

I love CM in all its' incarnations. And I do feel like my thoughts and feelings about the game (and anything else we throw on the forum) will actually be read by someone 'in the know'.

Why would any of us bother posting on a forum for some MegaGame Conglomeration that cranks out crap 4 times a year.

Their forums are brought up, hyperactive infants post non-stop for a month, and then they move on to the next game out of the chute.

BFC is more of a Mom and Pop place. I wouldn't leave it for the world.

Last retail game I purchased was Company of Heroes.

I never cared enough about it to read the forums or bother with posting my own comments. I played it awhile, installed patches as they came, and eventually grew tired of it.

I'll stick with CMSF. The new scenarios that come out keep me busy even if the system is a little buggy at times. Looking forward to WW2 though.

    Peace Out,

    BG
