Unfortunatly, that site does not give a UK release date. I'm sure we all realise BTS don't have any direct control over when CMBB is available in Britain, but it would be nice to have a date confirmed.

Abandonware is the term used to describe old software that is no-longer supported by the publisher, or was written by a company that no longer exists. If you do a search you will find all those games from your mis-spent youth . Of course , getting a DOS game from the late 80's to run on your modern pc is a game in itself.

I sent bts a message a while ago about these games, and was informed that they were NOT abandonware. No doubt they will reply to this thread soon.

It's definately worth getting ' ZoneAlarm' firewall software. Get it from www.zonealarm.com . It's free. There's also a new e-mail virus doing the rounds , 23kb in size, various different formats, this is an incurable virus. The first one was marked as something to do with snow white and the seven dwarfs, Basically, it seems to have been renamed as several different things, the main feature is that they are all 23kb. If you delete the preferences file in your combat mission folder, the game should ask you which resolution you want when you restart the game. Steve.

You're right that 3dfx will/has stopped trading, but at this price, I think that it's worth the risk. Also my pc has'nt got an AGP slot and I havent seen any Geforce cards with a PCI slot. I blame spock for persuading me to buy a TIME machine !

Hi DraGoon I got my card from my local 'Game' shop- www.game-retail.co.uk I think they are owned by electronics boutique so they might also be worth a try. Best not take too long as I think they have dropped the prices to get rid of stock. The new card really zips along even with large battle's and many mods. The only downside is that now the mouse leaves small squares on the menu screens,that small niggle aside I'm very happy. Cheers Steve P.

I know the relative strengths of voodoo and geeforce cards have been well discused recently, but I'd like to say to anyone with an older video card now might be the time to upgrade. I've just got a voodoo 5 to replace my existing voodoo 3 and there's a marked increase in performance, I can't quote any figures but scenario's which used to lurch now fly along.Best of all voodoo 5's are now pretty cheap , I paid £99 (G. well worth the money.

Looked in local store this morning and saw a voodoo 5 reduced to £99 from £199 (G. Very tempting, does any one know what performance increase i might expect ? current system- amd k62 500 ,voodoo 3 3000.
