Knock off the negative waves. I guess you have never been excited about something new to the point of wanting to shout it out to the world. Besides..., you only have to put up with one of those "I got mine" posts from each person. After that they can contribute to the forum in what might be considered a more constructive manner. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." 2. About what Lawyer posted:
quote:
I've read the whole thing a few times....

Wow! You could have been playing all that time. Don't get me wrong....It's a fine manual and it's helped me out of more than a few jams, but I only use it when I'm forced to. I guess you could call that the CASUAL approach. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." 3. dalem....I agree. Good point. I played CM for about 3 weeks with no FOW until I felt fairly comfortable with all the mechanics and basic tactical considerations. Then I started to play with partial FOW and it felt like a whole, newly enhansed game. I'm looking forward to graduating to the full FOW setting at sometime in the future. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." 5. Wow! Assimilated by the CM Borg and eyeball'en your artwork in the same day.... ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." (Greek general's comment upon being told that the Persian archers could blot-out the sun with their arrows.)
 6. Gee! I sure wish I had the skill to do some of these MODS you talented guys are cranking out. I loved the dusty and dirty allied stuff and the beat-up Panther A. That new Tiger in the latest MOD pack is great too. That's the realistic stuff.....Keep It Coming! And while I'm on the subject, what about some damage on these textures? The splattered and splashed signatures of molten metal, torn fenders, soot around the muzzel brake, etc. Any chance of seeing some of that in the future?
 7. To each their own. But you have to be in the vast minority. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." (Greek general's comment upon being told that the Persian archers could blot-out the sun with their arrows.)
 8. Can you picture rolling down a rubble strewn street headed for the Berlin Bahnhof with a platoon of IS-2's and infantry support looking for Hitler Youth squads with panzerfausts and satchel charges? Gee... we will have rubble strewn streets, won't we?? ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." 9. I agree! I've been involved in armor wargaming since the days of 1/200 scale lead tanks, tape measures, protractors, massive data sheets, and die rolls. I have fond memories of playing the old Mech Bregade series on my C-64 and then advancing through about 5 generations of PC's playing most of the WWII and modern armor games that have been marketed. CM beats em all! Can't wait to get my hands on CM2, CM3, CM4. The guys over at BTS and CMHQ have given a level of after market support that has made the CM experience quite enjoyable. Thanks to them all. ------------------ "Then we shall fight in the shade." (Greek general's comment upon being told that the Persian archers could blot-out the sun with their arrows.)
