  1. Thanks for the tip Hubert. I updated my video drivers and now get the same error as Bossy. Guess I should have waited before getting Win 8 Anyways I have a laptop with Win 7 so can play on it.
  2. I'm having the same issue with the demo except it doesn't crash just runs very slow. Anyways this game looks interesting. Hope it gets sorted.
  3. I wonder what the Arabs will do if the Persians do indeed develop nuclear weapons. I'm kinda curious if an oil field can still be used after sustaining a nuclear blast. I am not at all worried about the Israelis, they can take care of themselves. The Arabs, I'm not so sure.
  4. ATI drivers 7.11 fix the left click issue (released yesterday). There is still a pause, but the game doesn't crash anymore.
  5. I tried the demo to CM when it came out. That's about as far as I got with it. CMSF is a much better game in my opinion.
  6. I am using the ATI CAT 7.8 drivers with Vista and AMD X2, ATI 1800XT. I have no issues, but I had no issues with the 7.7 drivers too. If do a format, I recommend you create a harddrive image when you have all your stuff loaded. I use http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/ It's much faster restoring an image then formating and loading all your software one at a time.
  7. Here is what I do, zoom/scroll in close to where you want your men to go. Most of the time they will follow your orders. When I am zoomed/scrolled out I have the same issue as you all.
  8. I put them here and it works fine. C:\Program Files\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force\Game Files\Scenarios
  9. Adobe Reader 8.1 will save it as a text file. The file will be around 376k, so you can email it to yourself ie work.
  10. Do you all have the latest windows media player? The splash screen is just a wmv (windows media video) file. or Download something like K-lite Codec pack, I've used this for years with no issues. Normally when there is no video, but the sound can be heard it's a codec problem. I forgot to mention this. [ August 08, 2007, 02:36 AM: Message edited by: Hadberz ]
  11. From the elicence FAQ “I want to install the game on a second computer, how do I do that?” The end user license you agreed to when installing the software does not give you the possession of the software, only a license to use it. You are allowed to install two instances of the game at the same time (e.g. on your desktop and on your laptop). Hence, each license key will be accepted twice for installation. After you have installed two copies, entering the license key again for a third and any subsequent installation will fail. You will have to "unlicense" one installation of the product before you could license it on another system.
  12. If you need help verifying the ATI/Vista bug, I'm willing to help.
  13. There is no doubt in my mind that CMSF and ATI Cat 7.7 drivers for Vista 32bit don't mix. I did an experiment with my laptop, specs below. I had Vista Home Premium installed on it and CMSF hangs just like it does on my main computer, see here for specs . I get the same atioglxx.dll error. So I formated and installed Windows XP SP2. I then install ATI Cat 7.7 drivers for XP. I can now play CMSF with no crashes, hangs, or slow downs. I played for 2 hours straight. Dell Inspiron 9100 3.2-GHz Pentium 4 processor 1GB Corsair RAM ATI's Mobility Radeon 9800 256MB 100GB Harddrive Windows XP SP2
  14. Well guess I am gonna have to wait for the next patch or the next release of ATI drivers. I reinstalled the drivers and I have tried every setting in the game and drivers, but it makes no difference. The games hangs after a few minutes of play and with the same error.
  15. CMSF hangs within the first few minutes of being in game. I am using all the default settings. Here is what Vista Problem Reports and Solutions tells me, see below. I have the latest ATI drivers Cat 7.7. Any suggestions on this issue?
