  1. What is the limit of units that the game can handle w/o bad framerate or resulting in a crash? I was at CM HQ and found a POTD that showed what was obviosly a custom scenario with what had to be almost a hundred german tanks against an unknown allied force. I ask this because im a big fan of creating scenarios featuring hundreds of infanty men. I played multiplayer CC3 against a friend and we each selected the maximum number of infantry per side and then ran them straight at each other just to see what happened. I realize that this has nothing to do with tactics or strategy, but it was just great watching almost 200 individual soldiers fighting hand to hand and to the death. Id like to try this with CM.

  4. Even though I dont yet have the game, ive noticed dozens of similarities between these two great games, notably in the command interface. Now im not saying that CM totally ripped the CC series off or anything, because CM is obviosly very original. I actually think that its better that some game developers integrated different types of gameplay that proved to work with new ideas to make a fantastic game(CM) than a company that continues to make the same game over and over, just set in a different theatre of war(atomic games and CC). I predict that CM will bump CC off the tactical throne (if it hasnt allready done so) because 3D is infinitely more appealing than 2D. It may be too late for Atomic to get a clue. So what do you think?
  5. Hey Thanks! I loved CC2 and CC3 so i figure that ill love this game too. And the way i figure it, the "tactical pause" is more realistic than full RTS because your troops couldnt possibly get commands as quickly or accuratly as they could in the CC games. Oh one more question- Is it possible to make your own Omaha beach scenario? Landing craft wouldnt be neccessary, you could just start your troops out on the beachead. And since theres barb-wire, pillboxes, and mortar teams and other artillary, this would make a great scenario.
  6. Okay so I just ordered CM yesterday so its in the mail. I was wondering if Allied .50 cals can take out German armor like it could in CC2. I have seen this happen many times while playing CC2 on veteran difficulty and found these MGs to be more effective against most German tanks/vehicles than bazooka teams. I dont know if this was just a glitch in CC2 or if it is a historical fact. Anyway, does it happen in CM? Also- I was told that I need at least one patch for CM or else the explosions would look like sh*t and other stuff. Is this true? And if so, where can i download the patch(es).
