  1. the ability to zoom in and take part of the action for a turn, trying to complete your orders. turn the game into a military simulator like Arma2 crossed with combat mission. head to head multiplay would be fun

  5. would float my boat, tie view to unit please....make it not an honor system like now...enforce it. the absolute non programmer in me cant see it as being that hard to implement
  6. when i win a battle, the units in the battle are lost for the next one....my force pool is getting smaller and smaller

  9. even on iron...i still instantly can tell a enemy tank is a t72 turms, or a squad is 1st section rifle etc etc dumb
  10. not in my experience, i was area firing with a BMP-2 at a building i knew troops were in...half way through a turn a bradley shows up right next to the building in plain LOS bmp continues to fire at building next to brad...then dies tac-ai needs adjusting for threat assessment

  13. All I use my computer for is to play CM, internet DSL, downloading and playing tunes off the internet and some word processing. That's all I need. you shouldnt need anything more advanced than a 1Gz processer, 256mb SDRAM and a poxy ol geforce2 GTS CMBB wont tax your computer much (correct me if im wrong) its not like your playing current first person shooters, or the like. dunno what that would cost in the states, but here in New Zealand it would be very cheap for a computer at those specs, in fact they dont even really advertise computers that low spec these days
  14. what about AP rounds? are they still modelled after they hit a target......im sure a 76mm AP round would barely slow down after going through 7mm of armour that a half-track has.
  15. -------------------------------------------------- I hate to burst the bubble in this thread but if we are talking about ballistics and the way they are currently modeled in CMBO the armour penetration model doesn't work that way. Perhaps it is possible the impact or explosion of the round into the second HT CAUSED the casuality in the first HT? ------------------------------------------------ no, i will not have my thunder stolen by nay sayers such as this.....i stand by my orginal post 1st half track penetrated one casulity....second one directly to the side of it then gets "side penetration" and promptly exploded. ie gun----->1st------>2nd just like that. thank you very much for coming [ June 11, 2002, 11:25 PM: Message edited by: Bloodlust ]
  16. i was playing a QB last night and a british 57mm AT gun ambushed two unwary halftracks i had cruising up the road. the round (from about 70m away) went clear through the first half track with one casuality and hit the second and made it explode! wish i had a screen shot to prove it......my jaw just about hit the ground
