  3. Is it worth it??? Naw, the forum just has ten thousand registered members on account of the Peng thread.
  4. Oh oh, I just saw this. Drool... This is really nice Tracer, can't wait to use this. Thanks! For that you get three more plates on the Pzr Colors thread. [ January 02, 2003, 11:58 PM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]
  5. Let's talk about, well you know, tri-colors. No, not the life style. Camouflage! Now tri-colors are quite lovely and there have been some beautiful tri-color mods. Many beautiful tri-color mods. There's a lot to be said for bi-colors too. Infact, bi-color schemes in the pictoral record seem to be in the majority up until mid to midlate war following the start of the German defensive war in the West. A good many reasons for that ofcourse. Let's take a look here at some '41-42' bi-color schemes. First, a zebra camo from the winter. And then the green on gray is just what one might expect to see for the spring season. Note the use of extra tracks mounted on the halftrack engine hull to protect the vital area along with the color coded yellow vehicle number. Three fine examples of bi-color zebra and wave patterns in use during the early part of the war. [ January 02, 2003, 06:09 PM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]
  6. Nothing wrong with it at all. The model is outstanding as usual. I'll definately be using it. Like to see more historically accurate bi-colors is all.
  7. Oh good. Not a biggie, just hoping to see lots more bi-color schemes come down the pike. It is a real nice model. I'll be using it.
  8. Eeeek! More tri-colors. Actually, it looks very much like a picture I just scanned of a tri-color Panther on the Ostfront. I'll put up some more Pzr Colors scans this evening. Hopefully, eventually there will be enough bi-color schemes and the gray/green/dk yellow to balance out the tri-color mods. [ January 02, 2003, 01:50 PM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]
  9. Okay, ya axed fer feedback. Overall looks good. I particularly like the variation in blending of the whitewash and the unit number. The gray though looks a little too dark and the unit number a little too small. It is a nice model however. Oh, and remember. My opinions are not necessarily shared by Martha Stewart and therefore one should not put stock in them. [ January 02, 2003, 01:52 PM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]
  10. It is nice but, yet another tri-color egads! [ January 02, 2003, 11:09 AM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]
  11. Is Hooorrrraaaay a German term? The Russian definately needs to see a dentist.
  12. Vunderball! Tanks tank. I jess love dem dedicated trees.
  13. It ain't even noon on New Year's eve yet! Intervention. Intervention I say. It's the only way.
  14. Is it just that one file? Realcolors_4_cmbb.zip? No it ain't gonna make the game look silly, it'll make it look real. Just like Sling did with CMBO mods. The pink spots are just glitches in certain bmp's where the transparent background wasn't corrected. Slinger "will" fix them as they get reported, just as he has always maintained his work in the past. Who the devil is asking if "infected" means a virus? You can't infect a bmp file with a cotton pickin virus. (Anudder candidate for the White House staff). What they meant is the pink laced background transparencies in some bmp's are showing through, which then as DD finds out about, he will fix. 15. Hot Dog! Now we're talking. The yellow on gray is beautiful and the white wash is wonderful. Mostly upper hull just like a picture I know. Don't suppose we could talk ya into doing that gray/green/yellow tri-pattern could we? Somebody's got to make these CMMOS! [ December 26, 2002, 06:45 PM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]
  16. It blows smoke, in the direction it is blowing which affects LOS. Not sure if fire spreads in the direction the wind is blowing.
  17. Thanks Scipio, great work as usual. And a very Merry Christmas to you too!
  18. This is what separates BTS (BFC), from the rest of the wargame company pack. Their History and Background section provides an insight into their philosophy. Much more than words on paper, they live by it. Who could ask for more? Thank you Steve for the candid admission and your apology is ofcourse, accepted. And while I'm at it, thank you for the two best games I've ever owned, and the countless hours of fun, excitement, and joy that I have derived from owning them. My fondest wish is that all of the hard working folks at BFC have a wonderful Holiday season and a very merry and prosperous New Year!
  19. How about just settling for Christina Aguilera in a pyrocanthus bush.
  20. Er ah yeah tracer, we ah maybe gonna see some Holiday pics there at the tracer house huh?
  21. Pssst, hey kid. C'mere, look now here's the thing. You gotcher high level strategy stuff, like looking over the terrain, figuring out the strategic positions that command the field or VP areas, then ya gotcher low level tactical situation, all going on at the same time. At the high level, ya do yer planning and hope for the best. At the low level, use a lot of level 1 camera views. Put yerself in the shoes of the troops your ordering around at that high level. At the high level it might look perfectly logical to take that stand of trees over there by racing across the seemingly short little open space, but when you zoom in to level one, you notice that just to the left side of that open space is a ditch which runs along a brush area and goes near the stand of trees. (Pay attention kid, now looky here, it ain't on the monitor, it's an example). Okay, so to the lil feller at zoom level 1, it all of a sudden becomes clear that the safer route to the stand of trees may be longer, but in the ditch there is cover. So, you change your order to have them follow the ditch and sneak rather than bolt upright and charge out into the open and risk exposure to an unknown enemy. Always put yourself in the shoes of the lil fellers your commanding, and always adopt the principle that as one of them lil fellers you could care less what the big feller behind the keyboard says, your just trying to stay alive. You do that, you'll be awite. [ December 22, 2002, 09:08 AM: Message edited by: Bruno Weiss ]

  23. Maybe that's why the CMHQ server is down. It's an all out invasion.
