  1. Been flying WB since 2.00 came out (had 1.11 offline before I realized I could play it online from Norway...thiught it was for US only ). Buzzer
  2. I think it should be possible to turn the turret manually...OR to have the opportunity to ignore targets. In the game Im playing now I have 4 Shermans advancing along a road when they spot a Tiger 1000m away on our flank. These "old" Shermans dont have the punch to knock out a Tiger so I just want em to advance as quickly as possible, so I set one to fire smoke at the Tiger and the others to advance in "fast-mode" up the road. Problem was that i put the "smoke-Sherman" in Hunt mode along the road AND to fire smoke...so it ignored my smoke-command and started firing at the Tiger again with AP-rounds...sigh... And the advancing tanks were still firing like mad against the Tiger as they advanced!...rotationg the turret 90 degrees away from the front, and beeing extremely prone to ambushes further up the road... I dont want em to engage the Tiger! (Maybe I can use the area-fire with MG to prevent it, but I belive they will cinsider the Tiger a danger and still fire at it(?), even if its impossible to take it out). What about an ignore target command or something?
  3. Im playing a PBEM game (La Gleize) against a friend of mine (Heinz). I heard a target move which was taking position along the road, so I send a Bazooka-team + HQ to outflank it. Before I have ID'ed the vehicle properly I press on it and I can actually see that he has placed out an ambush marker on the road! I've noticed u can see enemies' target lines, which is OK as I should know what units are firing on me...   4. Howardb...I think I did refer to some data about the Hetzer, didnt I? Read the post before...etc... Even though it was made of second hand material (like all the Marders) it was, quote: "one of the most advanced tank destroyers during the war... *Improved recoil mecanism on gun... *Modified P38(t)chassis...widened.. *Widened and reinforced tracks... *Enhanced armor... *Small size... *remotely controlled machine gun... w/360 degree rotation...etc" Have to agreee with Schugger though, but as I said, in CM maps/as RL its not always easy to outflank each other. S.Clinton(think I said UNDERpriced, not OVERpriced ), also heard err...read the Hetzer wasnt very popular by its crew, but that shouldnt make it chaper or...? To me it just seems like a damn good (though unpopular) and cheap tank destroyer... Anyway, I havent tried it that much vs allied tanks, so the responses are appreciated, as always in here Maybe I should try some jabos against it...   5. This is a bit in the same line as Slapdragon's "Shermans seem overpriced" thread... Played a PBEM game where I was German, and had a cpl of Hetzers in my force. My opponent with his M4A3s couldnt take out the Hetzers at all in head-on shots(due to the sloped armor), and all his shots ricocheted(right speeling?) away...Of course I didnt tell him to check gun vs armor chart The map made it very difficult/impossible to outflank the Hetzers, and soon both his Shermans were burning... So, is the Sherman too expensive or is the Hetzer too cheap? I know the Hetzer was relatively "cheap" to produce/had its limitations in RL: based on the Panzer38(t) chassis, it had limited gun traversal, was slow, had tight compartment etc... But it was also one of the most advanced tank destroyers in WW2 (according to the book im reading ), with its (relative) light weight, small size, gun with improved recoil mecanism, widedned 38(t)chassis, widened and reinforced tracks, enhanced armor etc... In CM a Hetzer costs 75 points while a ShermanM4A3(75)W for instance costs 152 (using a list here, which might be incorrect, but I guess the relative prices are correct). Should a tank which CANNOT TAKE OUT the Hetzer AT ALL in a HO shot be twice as expensive? I find this a bit odd... I know the Sherman has other advantages but a 10 Hetzers vs 5 Shermans seem a bit unfair to me... Summarization:Is the Hetzer too cheap? (Yes I did search on "Hetzer", "cost" etc... )

  9. If everyone in the world was as honest as you and me it could have been done that way Point nr 2 is a problem. If defender(2) isnt satesfied with the result/movie, he can reload the file he got from the attacker(1), replot hes moves, watch movie... Repeat until satesfactory results are achieved.   10. Yeah...i know about the PantherA winter camo, which I use. What shall i rename the files to, to get the same winter camo on the PantherG as the A? Also Jagdpanther is missing winter-texture...at least on my system
  11. Well, topic says it all... Have anyone made winter texture for these?...or did I miss them...?...couldnt find it...everything else seems to be winterized... Does it mean that a mod is winterized when the tracks or wheels have snow on them?
  12. Anyway...there certainly is a LOS-through-building-corners-bug ...seen that a few times.
  13. Is there friendly fire in CM I wonder? Have had squads positioned in a line like: X-------A--B Where squad A and B have been firing at the same target(X). B have been shooting "through" squad A, with no penalty at all...at least thats what it looked like to me. Also did a test with a flamethrower tank which did some area fire. Then I ordered some infantry to walk through that area...and guess what...thay walked right through the flames without twinkling an eye.

  15. Why dont they increase the countdown time for no-LOS spotting then? They must still know when the artillery will start firing even though the target is not in LOS??? 1sec should always be 1sec imho. Not a big deal though...just a bit irritating when u expect to have artillery support for a round, but it never arrives...
  16. Uhhh? Nothing to do with accuracy? Its a countdown to when they are starting firing right? When my spotter tells me they will start firing in 60sec, I expect em to start in 60sec...not 100sec. Now hes constantly counting down at half rate, so its not like hes correcting his aim or something like that. Must be that battle worn watch
  17. If this has been adressed before Im sorry... Just noticed spotters are counting down at a very slow rate. Had artillrty comming in in abt 35sec...ie according to the spotter. But it took almost 60sec before he had counted down to 0... Just watch as he counts down while watching the "movie-clock". They are counting down at almost 1/2 rate. Game bug, or just simulation a battered watch?
  18. Funny u said that...im DL the "Terrain Tiles" for the Velvet Grass Set right now. Im DL everything BUT the double rail-track which I belived to be a bit inaccurate Anyway: excellent work Richard Tremblett.
